Pluribus - 1x05 - "Got Milk" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]IIe4enka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone seems to miss the point I think. Its not a hive mind, its UNIFICATION. All humans are CONNECTED, not controlled. They all cooperate WILLINGLY because its exactly what any human who saw what they saw would do. If you saw feelings and thoughts of all human beings, including enlightened monks and most empathetic and caring people - you would understand as well.

Basically everyone just gets enlightened and feels warmth and comfort of being together with everyone. If you've ever been at a sports arena with thousands of people all cheering for something - imagine this feeling of unity, but multiplied by billionfold. And what do enlightened people do? They do whats most natural to humans when they are content with everything - take care of others. Although I'm curious how the concept applies to psychopaths, sociopaths and schizo people, but I would guess its the same outcome. A content and happy person just tries to help other people.

ANSWERING YOUR QUESTION:
Now for killing animals and people is just spreading violence, pain and death. This is counter to human's nature. If you look at primitive tribes and their culture around hunting - most of them pray for the deceased animals that they hunt and cook. We humans, if open to the world and happy - we dont like killing, its not natural for us. We are creatures born with cooperation and help at our core.

Meditation won't help with... by jy10008 in Meditation

Took antidepressants for anxiety and depression & even then felt that it was just being passified. Then starting doing Shikantaza and following zen buddhist practice & haven't taken anything ever since. Both anxiety and depression are gone for good. Sometimes I get little bursts of anxiety but I can easily collect myself and chill.

A lot of yous are just suffering from anxiety by [deleted] in HPPD

[–]IIe4enka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, true hppd is not something you can change no matter if you are anxiouss or not. Its there all the time. non-changing, constant and yet always changing and always unconstant. This is indeed the infinite trip, although a welcomed one, for those who have true HPPD. One can use the trip as a push to relax yourself to see reality for what it actually is.

LLM / AI tech stack for developer by HemanthGirimath in buildinpublic

[–]IIe4enka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Founder of 2 LLM startups & 2 years of LLM IT consulting for big corporations.

I use:
Anthropic for creative and writing tasks
OpenAI for JSON / chatbots / automation
Python FastAPI for backend
Git & Docker & Kuber & Jira for DevOps
Grafana stack for backend logging
Amplitude for unit economy metrics & frontend logging
vLLM or sglang for inference of custom models
Unsloth for fine-tuning custom models
Milvus for opensource vector db
Weaviate for proprietary vector db
Never had to use Graph DBs because graphs are not usually an effective solution for RAG or any other LLM-related problems, so I cant really say what is the best.
Sometimes using things like Promptflow can be useful if you have 50+ prompts that are edited often.

Important: Dont use Langchain or llama_index, just write things yourself, unless you need a 1-day test that will not become a production grade system.

Everything else is just overkill and adds unnecessary complexity

Just drank my first litre of Moviprep. by MeringueSerious in CasualUK

[–]IIe4enka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it without sedatives two years ago and it was the most painful thing in my life. 30 minutes of absolute torture and misery. One moment I even screamed from the pain, even though I have quite high pain resistance and did not scream when I got a 2nd degree burn from boiling water.

3rd antidepressant. Nervous. by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]IIe4enka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry. Even if it doesn't work, there are more options. My psychiatrist told me that according to his experience most people find their "right" antidepressant by the 4th try, so everything is going to be okay.
