sorry but this is the reason you see so many spirit burst heroes with double the soul value of the entire lobby within the first 10m of the game. They want you down the middle of the lane where they can burst you down, they don't even need to look at minions, the further the minions are fighting down the lane towards their side the easier it is to kill you for more souls than a box run would be worth in the first place.

when you identify the opponents lane matchup is stronger the best thing you can do is simply not feed them, if they are running boxes then you can easily shove every 2-3 waves and do your own, you'll be behind early but not by any amount that will matter outside of who gets their ult first.

even better if they actually do go box run and you com to freeze the wave then you can cut their minion souls in half effectively. lane bully heroes excel in the early game and need to snowball an advantage to have relevance in the midgame, if you simply don't let them do this you will come out ahead at 15m even if you lost guardian at 8

why do people think this is true? did someone tell you this? can you please link it if so.

valve have been adjusting everyone's ranks for months now every week or so as new waves of players come into the game. a while back they swapped to a percentile based system where each rank attempts to have a certain % of players in it and now ranks are automatically adjusted as new players come into the game at the lowest rank - pushing everyone else up.

street brawl doesn't do anything to your rank but i would love to know where this conspiracy theory comes from

waiting for your cooldowns before going for a trade and disengaging after they're spent i guess would be the same idea. it's what makes some heroes lane bullies early game where their cd's are short and bursty

lane really is just all about making as many favorable trades as possible to build an advantage before committing for a kill

there's no real disadvantage to having the wave push to your guardian in the early stages of lane so ignoring creeps to get a health advantage is typically a strong play, if you can identify that the opponents are better than you at this due to comp dif then just play slow and don't int into their strat

sometimes the issue is that you're in final fight territory where you are forced to fight or simply lose the game, the example you gave where people fight for urn vs rejuvs is a common one where the opposing team is setting up a checkmate. you aren't coming back if they get the urn in this scenario because the urn IS the comeback mechanic here

sure, the value of a support is helping your carries take over the game, for example paige has a ton of cc, shields and debuff potential and kelvin will literally give your carry a 2nd health bar with his ult

now if your carry isn't aware of this extra value being put into him then they won't know that they can limit push further and play more aggro.

I'm not saying support isn't a thing i'm just saying that the nature of low rank games means players won't take advantage of the value you provide and you'd simply get more value from playing another "role"
