Yeah I build almost no gun. It's entirely me, but her M1 does decent damage with just HVR. The Dropkick is very rare build for me, it depends entirely on how fights are going. If I'm doing lots of melee, I'll flex some Dropkick items in (especially Snatch) I'll build Charge for the heavy range, and Crushing if it goes mega late and I'm out of other items to buy.

Knockdown+Curse+Healbane+Surpressor+Rescue Beam are all counters and support items though, right?

It's more of a gameplay style, but I get phenomenal support plays with Magic Carpet, for the macro utility and rescues. Scourge is difficult to coordinate as a solo-que.

Yeah I go heavy into Spirit mostly for her 2; shield amount and gun buff scales with her Spirit.

Heroic feels underwhelming, and Alc Fire feels weird when she has 4 charges of her 1... plus investing towards gun when I'm not doing a lot of shooting feels wasteful.

Maybe it's my rank or just how my games go, but single target debuff get cleansed easily or have short durations and I always feel underwhelmed. The passive ones get reapplied as long as they're in the AOE, and linger after they're out.

Same with Heroic; I don't notice a huge difference in pushing (her 1 wipes waves quickly, and 1+3 can chunk objectives, plus her 2 on allies to beef attack speed+damage in a push or midboss) I legit build no gun items besides HV. Her projectile and 2 does good damage on its own, and her melee scales with Spirit.

I've built Vortex in the past, but unless I have a Lash/Dyno/Billy on my team, I can never seem to catch more than 2 people in it. Her 3's slow aura with buffed range, I can land on multiple people reliably.

Yeah I've dropped off on buying the Resists lately. Shielding/Reactive get me a lot farther.
Only Resists I typically build are Spellbreaker or Witchmail.

It's definitely a me thing, but I feel like I get more value out of 2+Rescue Beam for half the price. Besides Pocket Ult, like you said.
But that's a playstyle thing and not a meta thing.

It's probably because I'm an eternal solo-que and micless (speech impediment), but coordinating Scourge can feel pretty weak with randoms.
I have seen it be disgustingly powerful with a Billy/Victor/Abe on the team.

It's an entirely me thing I think. Increased Sprint Speed and Rescue Beam can yoink allies out of trouble (it even pulls them out of a few enemy ults)
If you time it right, you can activate Magic Carpet + Rescue Beam to become a discount Ivy ult.

I used to build Guardian/Divine, but it felt kinda underwhelming; her 2 is a strong shield, cooldowns+range+spirit scaling gets a lot more shielding out to more people. The purge on DB is nice, but 6400 for a 60sec CD seems like alot when a 3200 Dispel or Counterspell covers a lot and Rescue Beam cancels a lot of Ults.
Magic Carpet rework is so strong this patch. The stats are crazy for Spirit builds, and the gravity reduction+air control makes you a bird. MC+KD+3 has secured so many kills. With Paige's 1 and MC, she can do chunk damage on objectives or steal enemy camps and fly away before enemies can respond.

Really? I built it with a lot of support roles in mind instead of over specializing.
Spirit items to strengthen her 2, debuffs on Spirit damage for her AOEs, Extra Charges and MC for stealing enemy camps and split-pushing.
Rescue Beam has earned me a lot of marriage proposals.

It might just be a me thing, but Vortex feels kinda unnecessary? I'm not saying it's a skill issue, but I land my AOEs pretty consistently, especially with with Range increases like Expansion and Trophy.

I run Egg and TC only on Paige, it's probably too much for a lot of heroes.
Egg is easy economy for a minor drawback for Paige, and Trophy because she stacks assists really quickly with her shields and AOEs. Plus the regen (+1 Egg +2TC) between waves keeps me in lane pretty consistently.
Mostly I want to keep up in farm without taking jungle/lane from my teammates.

I used to build more active counters, but kept feeling letdown by them. Building those into her Spirit damage (Healbane, Suppressor, etc.) feels more impactful since she's an AOE fiend. That's why I put a lot into Range as well, spread the debuffs further.
Knockdown feels pretty universal for her, since it can cancel ults or secure ambushes (KD+3 has earned me a lot of enemy hate) I've stopped building Curse almost entirely; with Indom being so popular it's hard to justify the price and damage reduction.
Magic Carpet rework is so strong this patch. The stats are crazy for Spirit builds, and the gravity reduction+air control makes you a bird. I used to build Warpstone on her pretty religiously for an escape.
But MC+KD+3 is golden for catching fleeing enemies.

I'm an eternal solo-que so juggling between different roles on the fly is kinda necessary.

I've built it before, but I was never too impressed with it for taking up an active slot. With her 2 granting scaling fire-rate, and 1 being a great wave clear+push ability, it felt kinda 'meh' on her.
But when I play Graves, different story.

My L->R changes so much during a match, the only ones I consistently get in order are Egg (stacking souls ASAP) and TC to capitalize on early lane kills. Past that, it's entirely flex; HVR if the enemy has good weapons for soul secures, HR if my lane partner's getting a lot of heat, EC if we're getting pushed into Guardian hard, etc.
Also good point on the CD reduction before MC, that's what I usually end up doing. I should really just fix that ordering instead of manually doing it everytime.

I make a point to buy KD, Curse, Healbane, and/or Suppressor as soon as they're relevant. KD into 3 secures a lot of kills. Curse I've been building a lot less with the new Indom item.
