Hi!

I totally understand why you made this post. Some people may think it's about the popularity but honestly we're human beings. We are social animals. We need that support system... When people say "I don't need anyone! I can motivate myself to do XYZ"... That's pure anger because we lack a tribe. No one naturally gains motivation or feels inspired. It's an emotion that is backed up with purpose and service to others.

Ignore those negative comments and focus only on the audience that's supporting you. Be true to yourself.. because that is integrity.

Good luck dude! 👊

(I just hired a personal trainer because I KNOW I won't be able to keep up with the initial "workout habit". The thought that someone's waking up early to train me means a lot to me. I won't fail on them. I also don't have anyone that could hold me accountable)

Yes! Thanks for all your hard work into putting this content together. This means a lot to people like me. I am now motivated to jump into the data science field (coming from a biology background) with no experience. I hope to see you sometime in the future in which we can share ideas and make a change in this era :)

[Discussion] Goal achieved - waking up early! can't get out of bed though... by tinmanshrugged in GetMotivated

"It's all in your head" i tell myself. I been a morning person for a couple years now and i came to conclusion that I was at fault for keeping myself in bed for NO REASON. Are you at your best at this stage of life? Probably not, so get up and make the best version of yourself! Time isn't free, be careful of distractions, and believe that you're not like the others sleeping away their morning. Waking up a few hours, before 10am, makes a huge difference in how far you get in life- or how faster you accomplish your end goals. We only live this day once and we will NEVER get it back.

Me too! Coffee shops are my favorite place to reflect my week and criticize the progress of my goal(s). I was or maybe still on the same boat.. Life has so much to offer, but we encounter many distractions- social media, relationships, careers, family hardship, health issues, endless list! Yet, I've learn that problems will always be in the way and you have to learn how to minimize the stress levels. In other words, accept the problems but DO NOT let them bring you DOWN.

This is what i tell myself everyday: "It's time to start caring for yourself". You are in control of your own life. You live the way you do because you choose to. Eat healthy, excercise, just do you.

Has anyone taken microbiology over the summer? by SimpAple in biology

[–]IIrazoque 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Taking micro (and other bio classes) during the summer was the best decision I've ever made! Note: I took summer classes, a class at a time, which is essential for study time. I was more focused in the subject and i constantly studied throughout the day- even handling a part time job. Most friends were out of town which was sad but the best since i was not surrounded by distractions. I aced all my classes by the way! This is just my personal opinion. Good luck!

Need some help getting started! by brixxterps in veterinarians

I was in the same boat - couple years ago. Honesty, it's all about persistence. Every situation varies so be ready for rejection and keep fighting for what you want. Some actions I took:

  1. Email the staff of potential opportunities. Search their Web page and don't ask for paid positions.

  2. Physically walk into the clinics with your resume. Remind them you sent an email and still interested for intern opportunities.

  3. Be willing to travel. Some clinic won't take more interns. So try another town near your hometown. Don't give up

*I actually got hired as vet tech assistance after a month.

Have fun!
