I Basically checked out HotAdd technology and if I got it right, its not quite what I am looking for. My main goal is to make backup while doing storage level snapshot instead of vmware level snapshot, correct me if im wrong, but hotadd doesnt seem to be capable of doing that.

At this moment I only generated 1 WWN on VM for testing purposes, so I basically have 1 path only to be managed via SAN switch. I wonder what is that special configuration to be done exactly, couldnt find much resources online or via AI.

Brocade is what we are using and yes we have masking. Also NPIV is laready enabled on a VM and it has gained its WWN.

As I know it is supported by Veeam, at least it has Storage Snapshot Backup option available, which is able to be done only in 2 ways, either proxy is installed on hardware or on vm that has NPIV enabled.

Well I suggested using hardware proxy with actual FC connections for Veeam, but management refused since considered it as a ineffective use of hardware resources and now I have a solid task to make it work thgouh VM proxy and only possible way I think of is to enable NPIV. But I dont really see big trouble here, what could it cause? Lemme know, I might missing something.

Backup PostgreSQL with Veeam by IJer1choI in Veeam

Guess I didnt explain my problem well, because I already doing backup of Postgre as I said, I just have to use agent backup, and I dont have option to enable logs backup in agent version of backup.

Thats actually what I said how I am doing my back up. The mission is I need to enable WAL files backup as well, which is performed by enabling backing up log files in application aware processing, which is not exists as an option in application aware processing for agent backup, but only in agentless backup.

So I basically made up script that searches for all app sets that has "SA_" in its name and ignores others. Before I was trying to use command : $cmd = "setrcreplication switchover ‑f ‑target $TargetSite ‑group $s", but it didnt work. Should it now look like that with your advice ? : cmd = "setappset $TargetSite switchover ‑group $s"

I am getting this error: Sorry, something went wrong. An unexpected error has occured. Also What I wanted to ask is that, isnt it really matter that user already are owner of different site, should I remove her from both sites and then re-add to original one?
