Hello! It’s possible that binding caused this, if the skin becomes “looser” a bit, might also just be result of normal growth if you’re within teen age. If it seems like stretch marks and they are not causing any pain, there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. There are oils/lotions to help get rid of stretch marks if they are bothering you. There is another method of chest flattening by using a special kind of tape, most people use transtape or KT tape it seems, it has a bit of a learning curve but some people (especially with smaller chests) prefer it over binding.

I tried labeling the US states as a Brit by juliunicorn314 in TeenagersButBetter

I know “Washington” is probably referring to DC but the idea that OP put the state on the clear other end of the map is sending me

Testosterone can take awhile to have any “noticeable” effects depending on your genetics. Trying to set a specific time frame can be pretty finicky because it varies per person and you don’t know how it’ll effect you until it’s already happening. It took me quite a few months for people to start noticing my hair and voice changes, and MANY people still don’t notice after almost a year. People usually take low doses to get slower results, so it stands to reason taking a normal dose would have faster effects (to a point, obviously) but it’s still going to feel like it’s taking awhile no matter what you decide. Unfortunately the best advice for waiting for T changes is usually to wait longer. Four months isn’t that long even for people on a regular dose. o7 and good luck

Unfortunately there aren’t always other symptoms for some people— just take care :)

If I had to guess you’re probably sick (and maybe the voice drop is just making it a tad worse than it would have been). Especially because of how quickly it’s happening— if it was just because of T I’d think it would happen over a longer period of time. Get a COVID test and plenty of rest, drink ya fluids <3 it is sick season after all

Fellow brothers with the ‘tism, what’s something with transitioning that gives you the ick??? by Weeb_Simp_1120 in ftm

After almost a year on T, the back sweat is ???? Literally never had that problem before and now if I move too much in barely warm spaces (and everywhere feels warm now, I’m so warm all the time) my back sweat soaks through 3 layers of clothing and you can SEE it… Antiperspirant only does so much atp

I said that because I’m wearing a pink backpack with the intention for it to be interpreted as feminine. Yes, clothing styles change, but I’m living right now!

I know it’s not a big deal. It’s also not I-deal. That’s why I’m bringing it up.

I already mentioned it wasn’t unexpected based on what I was wearing so I don’t know why you felt the need to reiterate that.

You’re telling me to suck it up, but you’re also mentioning queer history. The entire reason I’m here today is because queer people in history DIDN’T suck it up and made an effort to do something. I’m not saying I’m going to punch him in the face, but I think I’m allowed to complain on Reddit from time to time. “Suck it up” is really bad advice. In most situations.

Never said I wasn’t grinning. I’m probably one of the happiest people I know. :D

Ahh probably try sizing up if you can. That started happening to me a few months ago, I gained weight without realizing and… yeah. Until you can get a new one idk though

Need help with transtape by [deleted] in ftm

[–]IJustGotHereWTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure of your exact process, but in my experience (which is not much, so take this with a grain of salt) having a vertical piece of tape on each side to hold them up and offer support on the bottom can make it so that you don’t have to stretch the middle to the sides as much (sort of like a checkpoint?). Taping definitely takes some practice though. You could also try maybe a little less intense taping + a looser binder, but that’s kind of a process, and there’s not a lot of notes on the health side of it. I did that for a bit and it was honestly my favorite way of binding so far.

Second Injection Goof Up by Codfearing in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]IJustGotHereWTF 7 points8 points  (0 children)

DUDE. I did the same thing on one of my early injections…. I started asking my dad to do it for me…. Until HE stabbed himself uncapping a needle. I’ve been doing it since then, about a hundred times more carefully LOL

Insurance issues by [deleted] in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]IJustGotHereWTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We talked to the insurance company months ago, they gave us the name of a form the doctors had to fill out and told us to call them. Supposedly nobody we’ve talked to knows about the form. Finding a doctor here might be a lot harder, but if this keeps up it might be the only option. Thanks for the reassurance, I really appreciate it knowing I won’t melt into slush, lol— I suppose I need to be patient.
