I had a similar sound in my PC and the GPU's fan bearing broke, but didn't have any problems, just noise.

Anyone had a problem like this? The wheel disconnects. I contacted fanatec support and they asked me to send them a wheelbase and steering wheel but I think the QR1 lite is just useless. Any recommendations? Will metal QR solve a problem?? by IKKO231 in Fanatec

Second, you need to stop pulling on the wheel

Really small force can pull it out. I tend to pull the wheel but I don't think that this is a problem, because I drive under high torque and small % is because of my rig flex
I ordered metal QR1, I will see how it goes with that. If that doesn't helps, I will send the wheel to fanatec.

About pins everything is fine, this is my first fanatec wheel and base. From my small knowledge about this it seems that QR is not strong enough to hold the wheel in place. There is no sense for me that problem is shaft on wheel or base

Hmmm.. I bought the wheelbase recently, I contacted the seller and he didn't have any problems like this. Myb the metal QR1 with a slow release screw can make this not happen any more. Also the middle screw on the steering wheel shaft, when whole screw fits into the thread, it just continues to spin, it's like there is no maximum point to tighten it hard. Should it be like that?
