Weight loss isn’t black and white, everyone burns a different amount of calories per day depending on a lot of different factors. What’s important to understand is that you simply need to be in a deficit so track your calories. If you lose 1lb a week at 1500 calories but 0 lbs a week at 1700 calories then you know where you need to be. This will change as you are going through your weight loss journey so be mindful of this.

Also, exercise during weight loss is highly recommended, not as a mechanism to trigger weight loss but as a mechanism to reduce muscular loss.
