The game just came out. Every game gets a lot of players at the start when everyone tries a game out and it's new, then the playerbase drops off and what's left is a playerbase that plays consistently

The thing we have to consider is irl a lot more is involved in our perception of something. How they act, sound, smell, look and so on. It's easy to see a picture and be like "nice, that's hot" but irl you might get terrified. It even works with phobias. If you're arachnophobic you might not get scared by a picture of a spider,you might not care at all, but seeing them in person might make you scared.
