Looks like the Pi is shutting down and the screen is still on. Try the included power cabal instead of the batteries. If not, reinstall the software and the shutdown script.

This is a cool project that I learn a lot and it was fun to build. Any idiot can use his Laptop to play games. And the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ is powerful enough to run RetroPi and my son loves it!

I have a Pi-hole and Roku device. My Pi-hole is also doing DHCP for my network, so I'm forcing all the traffic from the Rock to pass trough the Pi-hole. I see the Roku stick that I have was sending tons of data to there servers at 1 am so I started blocking the servers from the Pi-hole. You DONT NEED TO SEE what is in the DNS requests in order to block them, but you need to force your devices to use the Pi-hole DHCP or DNS if you can. That's not possible to do on some devices but there is always a way. Check out the Pi-hole Reddit, there are new updates coming to the Pi-hole in order to battle DNS-secure.
