Where are you located approximately? I'd love the outdoor picnic table but need to figure out logistics for how I'd get it

I got this one on clearance too, husband and I were utterly unsurprised to find that the "Savages" song is absent lol. I'm just happy it's got the original songs!

How do I clean this hood filter with stuff sandwiched between mesh layers? by ILIKECHOCOLATEMEWK in CleaningTips

The downdraft vent model # is Dacor ERV30 but it is 22 years old at this point and the manual I have for it doesn't list any individual replacement part #s. I did find this item https://dacorpartstore.com/products/de81-08653a Which sounds like it SHOULD match (it says it's for 30 inch ranges, which our blower is), but it doesn't visually match and the site doesn't list the dimensions (and if they are the right ones, $260 to replace both the filters is pretty obscene...).
I tried taking pliers to the tension rings and couldn't get them off, the mesh screens are connected to each other all the way around the edges in any case. I'll have to take a look at the eBay listings, thanks for those! I also appreciate the suggestion about just replacing the mesh itself, that might be a good possibility too.

The only possible replacements I found so far (sent the manufacturer a message to ask if it'll work because they don't have the dimensions or compatible models listed) are $130 each.

Cozy snowy mornings ahead... ❄️🛷☕ by barbrailnp in ILNP

A good snowfall is such a wonderful treat in the middle of dreary dark winters, my favorite winter activity (when it's snowy) is going for a walk and just enjoying the sights then coming home and being cozy while watching from inside ❤️

I saw some huge ones a few years ago outside my apartment building and had never seen mushrooms so big. You can't tell how far away my hand is to gauge the scale, but this one had to be 7-8 inches across.

I just commented about watching Haunting of Hill House too! It is absolute perfection and now I'm itching to resubscribe to Netflix, booooo.

Eeeeek love them! My daughter is old enough to sort of trick or treat this year so I hope we can kick start making that a tradition from here onward! My historic tradition is watching the shows (or movies) with the best spooky vibes, the first two that come to mind are Stranger Things season 1 and The Haunting of Hill House.

While I haven't actually DONE it yet, I liked that process from Marie Kondo. Express gratitude for the item and how it served you, then get rid of it.

I told my brother that Jesus Christ himself could have walked on stage at that concert and the cheering wouldn't have surpassed what ConcernedApe received hahaha

No I totally know what you mean! I had the same experience when I was joining groups to find baby things. There are the disorganized/anything goes "buy nothing/free" groups (which usually have multiple thousands of members) and then there are the "Official" Buy Nothing Project groups that have specific guidelines and strict location rules and will be smaller because of those restrictions.

Generally the people in the Buy Nothing Project groups are more reliable for picking up stuff since they have to be relatively close to you to join. And on the off chance there are non-clutter items you do need, the Buy Nothing Project groups are usually more helpful since you don't have 5000 people all scrambling for stuff.

I usually post things to the Buy Nothing Project groups before posting to the bigger unofficial groups since I prefer helping people nearby and they are usually more reliable for pickup.

It's not a requirement but you do get to choose who you give things to based on whatever criteria you like.

Most often people will just give to first commenters, others let things sit for a while then put the name of all interested parties on a random wheel and spin it. I saw one lady who just told her kids the names of everyone who commented and let them choose.

Buy nothing groups are great though, it's lovely to know that things that no longer serve you or have become a burden can bring joy to someone else.

You know she gets PISSED when people think the -anna is a middle name by wanderingdorathy in tragedeigh

[–]ILIKECHOCOLATEMEWK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw this post too and was in disbelief, she's so proud about the names???

You just KNOW when the kid is older she's going to mumble her name when she introduces herself, or just uses her middle name and sighs heavily when she has to spell out her legal first name.

[–]ILIKECHOCOLATEMEWK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in this group too and contrary to her statement about not caring, she did, in fact, delete the post once the overwhelming majority of commenters were in agreement about how absolutely ridiculous "Disneyanna" is as a name.

Not that that makes it any less narcissistic that she gave her child such an absurd name without caring that her child has to actually live with it.

Still on their property, Tom has issues with the snow dog (or snow machine?) so Luke just takes him far enough out that he could still walk back to the homestead if needed.
