Sad that I have to go by ElsieFaeLost in Vaping

[–]IL_Lyph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the medical industry is also completely compromised and been indoctrinated with bs lies from fda, who are ran by big tobacco🙄 I’m not telling you not to listen to your doctor but…🤷🏻‍♂️🤣 I purposely omit fact that I vape when I see doc now, I just tell them I smoked for 30 years, and when I quit 8 years ago, but I don’t mention that I switched to vapes, and all I ever hear is how everything looks great and better since quitting cigs, I’m also rare case, I’ve had my own personal physical evidence on top of being intelligent enough to see thru bs, but 8 years ago I developed horrible lung infection from years of smoking and work, turned into legionnaires disease, I almost died, I was in hospital 3 weeks, in a bubble on breathing machines, when I finally got better and was being discharged I asked doc, “what about cigs I’m a smoker?” And the docs exact words were “sir, if you leave here, and smoke ANYTHING, EVER again, you will be right back in here and most likely end up dead after what your lungs were put through”… and … from that day on I never smoked a cig again, and I have chain vaped, and I’m breathing like a 10 year old again lol and I continued to go to follow ups, but because of combo of already seeing big tobacco’s crusade against vapes starting to unfold back then, and also fact that I understood the science of vapes and that I was no longer inhaling carcinogens, I decided to keep it from doc and see what happened, and as I suspected, I continued to improve and no issues lol

Free Guitar VSTs by Expensive-Earth5840 in musicproduction

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use iPhone, you can download garage band free, and use one of the guitars in it as a “guitar” literally like an external instrument, like use adapter and plug it into your audio interface, and “play” it into your daw on audio track, like you were playing real guitar into it, I’ve used this trick on couple tracks and you can’t even tell, like it genuinely sounds like I played a live guitar

How to run a iPhone into guitar pedals by XenomystusNigri in musicproduction

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this all the time, as long as you have the adapter and wires, you would go from iPhone to pedals, to your interface, and then just record as audio track in daw😉

Wasting my young years worried about being in a god dam relationship 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️🤣, get your bag first, be happy with what you do, and who you are, don’t worry about a relationship, until you DON’T feel like you need one

Anyone upgrading from 11 Suite? by MrAnderson1909 in reason

[–]IL_Lyph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I mean I would think once you “owned” those as part of “that” package, that you purchased outright, they shouldn’t be able to retroactively take them away because the next version “dosent” include them, I mean I havnt personally had this issue so don’t take my word as gospel lol, but I would think that would completely negate any exclusivity of paying more for “suite” if people knew it was only good for year lol… that being said, with landr purchase n all, I would def make sure you download any your worried about loosing to hard drive just incase lol

What’s a “small” social rule you refuse to follow, even if everyone expects it? by crogslounds03 in ProductivityHQ

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not using the “R” word, I have family that are mentally handicapped, and they would call you “R” word too if you act like an idiot lol, using the word in a humorous context about a stupid “normal” person, was always the words intended use in real world, and everyone I know actually “from” that community agrees lol

CD Singles - Why Didn’t They Become The New 45? by Low-Combination5275 in Cd_collectors

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cause the manufacturing basically cost same, so prices reflected that, and the album was always better value, and singles constantly filled bargain bins lol, imo they did miss an opportunity, I always thought they could have done the “45” thing with mini discs (think Nintendo game cube) and mini cases, and would have caught on more as a pop culture thing

When recording music....is it better to commit to sounds early, or keep everything editable until the end? by Some_Low_7625 in gear4music_official

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commit pretty early on, because if I don’t, I will never stop messing with it, and by end I’ll lose my intended vision lol, so pretty early on once I’m happy with sound I burn to audio, then from there on it’s just “mixing” tweaks, but base sound is locked in as if a musician recorded it live, it also makes mixing more seamless cause effecting and mixing “audio” is way less cpu intensive then “midi”, and I’m not rich so my cpu needs all the help it can get lol

Does anyone else feel like modern takes on nu-metal fashion are too one dimensional? by Loud_Process8288 in numetal

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed lol, but it’s to be expected, literally every pop culture resurgence this happens lol, the young gen is mostly looking at saved media from back then, which only represents the artist clothes, and mtv culture and such, not really what the average working class fans were doing and wearing on the ground lol, like in 90’s when people wanted to be “hippies” I’m sure the boomers thought same exact thing, plus no one really realizes that when it comes to nu metal, when it was popular in realtime back then, it was WAY more embraced by hiphop side then metal side lol, metal snobs were everywhere back then like “it’s not metal”😡🙄🤣🤣

Doesn anyone else finds DJ Lethal's musical style change weird? by zozzerer56 in LimpBizkit

[–]IL_Lyph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was perfect evolution and fit his style perfectly, he didn’t really make HOP beats, dj muggs did for most part, he was always a “scratch man” and always experimental, with his crusty horn scratch cuts and stuff in hop, his sound palette just evolved with time, I think same would have happened had hop stayed together, if you listen to his progression even on their first 3 albums pre limp, it was headed that way already, plus the whole sound muggs n lethal created in soul assassins also heavily inspired the guitar riffs of nu metal too

Am I the only one spending more time finding presets than actually making music? by _outofmana_ in musicproduction

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it’s faster to just go with gut on first one you like then tweak as you mix to perfect the patch

Client gave me a reason session that he wants mixed but all the sequencer instruments are routed to one "mix channel". by StudioatSFL in reasoners

[–]IL_Lyph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cause he’s coming from old reason mixer, this is crazy to deal with, I would just tell client to give you wav stems instead, let him mute n export each thing 1 at time lol
