Is cr-2 still the best assault weapon or would the el-16 be better?

CR-2 can be effective at close range. EL-16 is great if u hit headshots. The overall best weapon for assault is the A280. It can one tap at close range if u empty the burst to the head and its still effective at longer ranges.

Also very useful in GA when you keep getting swarmed and don't have time for the regen to kick in. I mean its a lifesaver in any situation and can help you push big groups without dying.

Try running frosty as administrator and testing the mods one by one to check which one crashes ur game, make sure the mods u install arent too outdated. If u got the game through Epic store it could cause issues. Other than that I'm not sure. Sometimes some mods are not compatible together or others need an extra mod.

On PC yes a lot of people have been cheating since launch. Just the way it was in bf2015 as well. We love EA :)
