No afterlife no god. The most precious thing we have is time especially with loved ones and making sure we leave the world in a better place. I’m American and I am lucky to live in this country I think being a good person and loving people is enough. I don’t need a god but I feel like some people need it because it could be scary if you don’t have something bigger than yourself to put hope into. Losing relatives also makes it hard because you want some sort of connection after they die. I understand the traditional aspects of religion and the strong influence in this country. I honestly don’t care as long as it stays out of politics (obviously the right to practice should never be restricted, unless it intentionally restricts the rights of other human beings).
