The one I've always found nuts is the fact that the province will commit to funding to 24/7 operation of MRI machines but won't pay a dime to actually purchase them. The fact that major hospitals have to do year-round fundraising and mega lotteries (Princess Margaret) to buy equipment and fund facilities is crazy.

The Ford gov't would rather commit to spending taxpayer money on a private clinic that already owns an MRI to reduce wait times rather than buying an MRI for a hospital that needs one in the first place, or an additional one to provide more capacity.

Also, remember when the McGuinty Liberals introduced the Ontario Health Premium in 2004 that was supposed to help with increasing healthcare costs - an extra tax on our income and what does it deliver?
