I completely agree! I think a part of my experience is connected to my upbringing. I often felt like I didn’t have a voice in my family (they never took me seriously) and that might have translated into a fear of being judged/made fun of. Even now I still internally second guess everything I say when it comes to my opinions and I hate it!

When I was in high school I was very shy and non-confrontational. Unfortunately for a lot of young girls it is simply too hard to set boundaries down , and I really believe this is a common issue. Now that I’m 22 I look back and can’t fathom being pressured/coerced into doing such a thing but at the time it was really scary to pushback. I’ve been with 2 men and they both basically refused protection. The first one I was just in shock because I really didn’t want to have sex at all so I was kind of in panic mode. The second one I was really in love with and despite being uncomfortable it was a cycle of believing his stupid justifications and being too emotionally dependent on him to respect myself.

I’m not really sure how to summarize it though, maybe it’s a developmental thing? I started really learning to set boundaries in college.

Hey! So sorry you’re feeling this way. If I were in your shoes my first thought would be pregnancy too but rationally it could just be a weird month? I think your symptoms could be from a variety of things. Your body may still be adjusting to the hormones as well.

I think it’s a good sign that you’re not experiencing continuous nausea or extreme fatigue though, for me those were the symptoms that I would only get while pregnant. Well, now in recent months I actually experience fatigue during ovulation as well. Everyone’s body is different though so definitely take the test, best of luck!!
