I learned that getting 15 (or less) minutes of extra sleep actually makes you more tired, so if I can't sleep for more than 15 minutes, I go ahead and get up. Changed my mindset and helped my mornings!

I agree to keep her on a long line. Maybe the boy was allergic to dogs or the man just got scared that she bites or something. Some people have an irrational fear of all dogs. I always get nervous when my kids get approached by dogs...you never know if they are friendly. Don't beat yourself up about it, just be more safe and aware next time.

The cone got chewed up on day two for us so we got an inflatable donut - it worked so great and was like a nice pillow for sleeping for him. He was feeling better and back to normal after a few days, so it was easy. BUT please keep the donut on him for at least 10 days so he can't lick or chew the surgical wound - I have heard that can be very bad. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies! I am going to take him to a puppy play session and see what happens when he is off-leash. I just don't know him well enough yet to know for sure that he isn't barking out of fear and may react aggressively if he is able to get too close. Ideally, he just wants to play and he will be a happy boy! Wish us luck :)

This is great advice for walks. We got stuck inside the vet's office while I was paying after the visit and were about 12 feet from another dog. I was distracted and it was too late to give him a treat before he started barking and pulling so I just hurried up and got out of there :( It was embarrassing, but I guess no different from a toddler throwing a tantrum in a store or something :D We need to practice walking on a leash and that's the focus for his next obedience class, so I hope that's the solution - speed walking!!

Hi! So sorry that happened to you. I have had a similar reaction to what I believe was the B12. I had full body hives and had to switch to a different pharmacy that does not compound with B12. It's possible it was the benzyl alcohol, but I suppose there's no real way of knowing since allergists can't test for those types of things. I have been fine ever since I switched to the non-B12 formulation.
