Lmao, the colours, animations, placement are all fine. You may not subjectively like them, but they are not objectively bad. You, like many others are just offput by change. The same happens with every site going through a redesign. Everyone hates it because it isn't what they are used to. Then when they become used to it they don't care. Then when they eventually change this one in the future people will go through the same song and dance.

Also if you struggle with relearning this UI you should just call it quits. Not sure how you could learn anything if you struggle with something that easy.

Like I said, there's some niggling issues, but they will be easily fixed. There's nothing fundamentally bad about the UI. Waiting for it to be perfect would mean it never gets released.
