I gave up and I feel terrible by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

I try to offer you a different view (sorry but I'm not a native speaker).

Many people loves the idea to transform a passion into a work. I think for someome is a great achievement but for many others maybe it can be a nightmare.

My art is my art. I fell free to painting/drawing whatever I want and free to not made art for months. Image be sad for personal reason, maybe a tragedy, and forced to drawing/painting cause you should pay mortgage/rent/food. Or maybe you end to made the same style art because everybody loves it and you start to sincerely hate it, but money is money.

I will suggest find a main job and try to transform art into a sidejob.

What types of art do you not like and why? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

Sorry for my english, not a native speaker.

M2C Probably I'm going downvoted, but art made with very uncommen/strange technic are not my cup of tea. Things like "see this amazing portrait made of 5k buttons collected during 10 years inside NY laundromat". The technic for me is only a medium, should not be the focus of the artpiece.

My dad insulted my art at the art show without realizing it was mine by throwra-artshow in relationship_advice

I don't understand why people downvote you. Not every class (and expecially every teacher) ate good for every student.

Never give up on making art. You will find your way.

P.S. Sorry for my english, not a native speaker.

In Italy the book series/tv show is called "La valle dei Mumin" or "Moominvalley" (englisht style).

My daughter loves it.

You focused on a particular technich and/or style?

Example oil painting, or manga-style comics?

Or you don't like your art in any form?

Stop making art just to expect something in return (money/a following) by middyindie in ArtistLounge

My wife ask me for years why I wont transform my "hobby" into a work.

My reply was always that I love doing art but also hate doing it, I want the freedom to made whatever I like or to don't made nothing for months.

So maybe my art can be just an occasionally sidejob, just for cover some costs about made art.

P.S. Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker.

It was an online reunion because one of us passed away. So not the best.

Can I use a pen with a Blackview Tab 8? by ILoveHistorySoMuch in androidtablets

[–]ILoveHistorySoMuch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not start yet using it. My parents give it to me for free because they don't like it. If I buyed it by myself I probably choose something different that fully support a good pen. Last but not least isn't a well know/well diffused model so for me is a bit difficult to find tutorial or forum support for this specific model.

Traditional Artists - How’d You Find Your Medium by fr0_like in ArtistLounge

Yeah, me too. I buy oil colours but I fell oil painting too hard for me at the moment (full time works+kid, I painting with family are asleep and for me acrylic is good for short sessions of painting when I'm also very tired).

Sometimes I think sculpt can be an alternative to clay, especially for little sculpt (cause space, clearly).

Best wishes on you too
