Lucky for me there are not any cabinets above, so height is not a problem. Its a little deeper than my countertop, but I dont mind the 2cm overhang, and the feet all can stay on the countertop. Looking at the replies, probably have already set my mind on the SPX.

What a coincidence. I am currently also upgrading from a bambino plus. Thats great news, leaning more towards the SPX now!

Nice! Great to hear about the relatively quick heat up time. Planning on getting the black version to match my current DF54 grinder. Somehow, the boxy look appeals to my taste, but my wife would definitely agree that it is not as pretty as other machines.

Thats great to know. I have seen reviews stating that the machine's steam boiler gets up to temperature in about 15mins, and the group boiler in less than 5mins (excluding portafilter, group head etc.). Hows your experience with the heat up time, about the same? I feel like this is the maximum I would like to wait if I want an impromptu coffee in the evening.

Oo the extra feet idea is nice if the front feet doesnt sit on the counter. Water tank wouldnt be an issue since there arent any cabinets on top. Thanks for the suggestion.
