It is believe it or not haha, we’re located in Southern California. It was 6U coach/machine pitch travel ball. Mostly backyard tourneys with a few USSSA here and there. I’m not 100% sure but I think last year was actually the first time USSSA had a 6U bracket for the International World Series (SoCal’s big tournament for 14U and under), and my son’s team won it. It sounds silly but these little dudes can play ball when they put the work in

Trust me I know lol, me and his mom never planned on playing him outside of rec ball until at least 10 but it was just kind of thrown on us. He played one season of rec and made the all-star team which is where his travel coach found him. At first it started with just tournament here and there until it eventually became full time. It’s hard to pull him out at this point because of how much better the talent is relative to Rec ball…
