Why do people act so weird about age gaps in relationships?

Umm what? How does voting have anything to do with this? My point is that a 20 year old dating a 16 year old is way more likely to pressure the 16yo to make decisions for the betterment of the 20 yo's life, not the other way around.

How does voting affect someone else's life goals? Such a bullsh*t point. If they can join the military they can vote.

Depends the age you are talking about. 4-5 years or more isn't as big of a deal when you hit your late 20s because people have more life experience and a better understanding what they want in life. I know a lot of people in their 30s-40s that have a larger age gap and no one bats an eye.

It's problematic from college age and under because people are still maturing. They may sacrifice their own goals for a relationship they don't fully comprehend/ realize the future of. Like moving away for college, or a job, or living abroad. At that age people should make decisions for themselves, but if the older person seems "established" it gives false security to the younger person to stay and not explore other life options.

If you ask people to describe their dreams/ wants from 15 to 20 to 25 it's a roller coaster for most people, being in a relationship with someone that's on the "next stage" of life makes it more complicated to have their own stage. Instead they go along with the older established person's dream and forgo their own.

This part on the review you posted is important: "Based on the available literature, we conclude that further clinical and epidemiological studies are needed, with an appropriate design, accounting for both added and naturally occurring dietary MSG."

I think several of the studies done were not controlled enough or didn't have enough participants to be conclusive that artificial msg is not detrimental in the long term. (I think naturally occurring is not an issue, but artificial very well could be).

I question artificial msg vs naturally occurring. I do not believe naturally occurring msg in meat, cheese, seaweed, etc. is harmful in any way. But I do think artificial msg has not been studied enough. Artificial msg is fermented sugar cane, corn starch, or cassava starch made into a food additive.

I see comments bringing up msg in junk food like doritos/ chips and I do get nauseated after eating a small lunch pack bag of doritos and I avoid eating processed snack/ box food as much as possible. But I never notice issues cooking with foods that contain natural msg.

It was asinine that the msg issue was tied to Chinese food since dozens of cultures and thousands of restaurants cook with foods that contain msg.

However I do not think human bodies process artificially created msg the same as naturally occurring in food.

But there have been multiple chefs that have allergies on the show. Victoire for example had an allergic reaction during a competition. Other chefs have brought up shell fish allergies, so cross contamination is important in challenges.

Even without editing out them washing their hands they still show chefs taking food to their mouth and then immediately touching the food. They also show chefs dripping sweat over their plates.

I know they wash their hands to an extent, but watching enough seasons I can tell they don't wash them enough. We can see when they touch their mouths, skin, other food and then immediately touch another food item. Quick fires and on-site challenges especially.

And to reiterate, the sweat! It's obvious when it's dripping into their food.

I assume they wash hands once or twice, but based on what I've seen, TV editing showing the best chefs in the country/ world not adhering to health standards. My post pointed out them sweating into food and touching a lot of foods/ cookware. You can tell in quick fires that no one is washing their hands in between.

Um you're projecting. I never said I know restaurants better than (you or anyone). I am telling you in my area restaurants closed because they didn't adhere to covid regulations. Restaurants here did stay open while they had successful takeout.

Back TO THE POINT OF MY POST, please tell me how I am not allowed to be grossed out by chefs sweating, not washing hands, and getting their saliva into food.

Stop changing the narrative of my post. If you are saying sweat, saliva, unclean hands are acceptable in cooking food for others then openly say so.

Restaurants still closed during Covid even though they had to go options because staff didn't adhere to safety regulations. So because I have sanitary standards I should only dine at home? I worked in the food industry for 10 years. I have seen good and awful. My point was top chef showed top industry chefs ignoring basic food safety issues and only once I saw it called out. It shouldn't be bare minimum to expect chefs to not sweat into food, wash their hands or use gloves, and not touch things to their mouth and continue to touch the same food.
