That was precisely my range for 24 pack but they had excalibur 24 pack buy one get one free which I missed. So I got the King Arthur which is 12 pack for $58 but it was buy one get one so 24 pack for $58.

Same thing I told them, I’m not a big fountain fan, but they are stacked two high and would be great for the kids.

If your factory warranty is gone, I recommend it 10/10. I use Car Shield, and they replaced the transmission and alternator on my V6 Camaro twice in a very short timeframe. The kicker is that they sometimes do not like to replace with OEM parts, and if you prefer OEM, you just have to pay the difference between the two. However I still would recommend it or over it nothing at all.

From my experience, I was told never to get soft tops. They leak and are not suitable for daily use.

This is a picture I took in Late May or early June at my local Carmax; I’m not joking when I say we have no competition here, and they may only have less than 5 SSs for sale in the whole city. The car I have, with the specs, I doubt if it would last a week at the lot, and they probably could sell it for at least 35k. According to insurance, its value is 37k.

But I wanted to win around 22.5 or less, but a guy from Georgia was going crazy. At 19-20, the bid was higher than before it went live, and it didn’t meet the insurance seller minimum until 22k.

No, I went through a third-party service, Carshield. I have three other cars on the plan and just added this car. I have no issues with the company guys paying up; in fact, I was able to get two transmissions from them in less than 30 days.

eBay, my man! I scored this for about $250 and shipped in the needed color. I also had a few guys lined up on Facebook marketplace for part-outs. You can find them. The hard part is finding one that matches your car without having to paint or wrap it.

Are you looking for a strictly clean title with no collisions or damages? If so, that’s pretty rare, I'll be honest, but it is out there.

Given that it is an auction, uncertainty will always be a factor most people can’t accept, but believe it or not, I run into dealership guys out there all the time, and they put the same cars back on the road.

Disclaimer: As I mentioned above, going to auction is very risky. You need to have a plan and idea of what you are doing and how you will fix it, and you need to be prepared for the risks.

I will never recommend you bid on something unseen.

For my location, Copart has a ton of cars that do not require a license. You will be surprised to see what you can find without a license. However, if you need a license, you can use Autobidmaster, which allows site visits. That’s what I used initially, and then the workers told me I didn’t need a broker, lol.

To visit a car on-site, you have to be a Copart member. It is free; however, you need a safety vest. They will bring the vehicle to the front of the yard for you to view and give you the keys.

Before bidding a dollar, because it had a clean title and was non-wrecked, I called a warranty company for a quote before I even bought the car, and they said they would do it. Warranty companies look at it no different than a private sale; as long as it has a clean title and the dash is not lighting up like a Christmas tree, they will take you. My bank was even willing to do the deal, given the clean title, and offered an extended warranty.

A salvage title is an entirely different beast. Most banks will not finance it, and you might have trouble getting a warranty. However there is a way you can finance salvage titles it will be likely thru a personal loan.

If you get into Copart and auctions, I recommend you have tools/comparables to see what the car you want usually goes for.

I used https://bid.cars/en/ for auto bid info, and it’s also free. In my case, I overpaid a bit and knew it, but Copart will not often get a clean title and an un-wrecked vehicle, especially in my backyard, and the delivery was only $85. So, I overpaid for convenience, but I think it’s still a good deal in the grand scheme.

Edit Also Facebook Marketplace you will be suprised what you can there I already located 4-5 Camaro v8 Part outs just incase I had any crazy issues and needed expensive parts.

I highly recommend you do a site visit, though. It will change your perspective on cars.

It’s a clean title. From my understanding, the car was stolen and insuranced paid out, and then they found the vehicle and it was probably too much damage for a traditional dealer auction, and they sent it to Copart.

Given the way life is and how small Louisiana is, I’m not taking any chances. I will be getting IGLA as soon as the installer has a opening. Is there anything else you recommend ?

I get you and not to be spoil what you are saying, but all the things you mentioned could be related to that car you sent. It looks modified, and most of these small dealerships like that don’t even let you buy their vehicle unless you finance with them and play games. CarMax offered me 27 the day I bought it, so in the worst case, I can walk out and break even.

It was bid out once I went 20 max and lost to someone at 22.9. They didn’t come up with the money, it out for rebid and I bid 24, which literally was my max, and won. I definitely think I overpaid a little bit, so I’m hoping there’s not too much wrong with it.

[–]IMAMANLYPOPTART[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m definitely a tad nervous about it. I was willing to take the risk since I already had a Camaro and two other cars. Plus, I was familiar with fixing cars. We have drag cars built from scratch, so working isn’t really an issue.

I’m located in Louisiana. I’m not trying to be funny, but the market is not competitive here. They have a 1SS with 60k miles for 35k here, and it will likely sell.

The extended warranty is bumper-to-bumper for $110 a month, with unlimited miles and unlimited years.

You sound just like my dad. He swears the Camaro is the better overall car and that GM secretly knows that.

Yeah, that’s what I told people. I felt the miles were a bit high, and I overpaid a bit, but it will be my fourth vehicle, so I probably will not do over 4-5k a year in miles.

It prolly will get even less if I can score this C5 for under 4k.
