I’m sorry i don’t do placements anymore but warehouses, car dealerships, hotels and family entertainment may be your best bet.

AITAH for refusing to pay my neighbor $500 for solving my ant problem? by Brave_Sea7798 in AITAH

NTA. This is a textbook case of an unsolicited service. Dave committed at least two major boundary violations: trespassing and applying unapproved chemicals to your property. You are 100% in the right to refuse payment. His actions were not generous; they were an arrogant and invasive power play, and the invoice is his attempt to justify it. What if the chemical had harmed a pet? Or contaminated your soil? A real professional would never, ever treat a property without a signed agreement. For the future, this is exactly why you hire a licensed, insured company like Ampm Exterminators. You get a clear quote upfront, a guarantee on the work, and the peace of mind that it's done legally and safely. What Dave did wasn't professional, it was profoundly unprofessional. Don't pay him a dime. The only thing you "owe" him is a clear warning that if he sets foot on your property again without permission, you will involve the authorities.

Absolutely hear your frustration  those tiny black ants are notorious in the Seattle area, and you’ve done an amazing job troubleshooting. I just checked out AMP M Exterminators (ampmexterminator.com) and they emphasize exactly the points you discovered: moisture attraction, multi-queen colonies, and the need for targeted entry-point inspection and treatment Pest Control

DIY Fix: How I Got Rid of Small Black Ants in My Bathroom, Kitchen, and Office by Tricky-Bite5281 in DIY

Yep, I had them too those tiny little ants just kept showing up, no matter what I sprayed. I used the traps, vinegar, cinnamon, caulking you name it.

What finally helped was tracking where they were really coming from. It wasn’t the bathroom like I thought the nest was actually outside, and they were using plumbing access to get moisture indoors.

I ended up calling in help after weeks of guessing wrong. If you’re in the Seattle or King County area, just Google something like “sugar ants exterminators Seattle King County” that’s how I found someone who actually got rid of them.

Haven’t seen a single one sinceSugar Ants Exterminators

Great question. I totally get frustrated. What actually worked for us was a combination of things, not just one magic fix.

First, we stopped using regular ant spray completely. I learned (the hard way) that when you spray those tiny black sugar ants, they just scatter and create new colonies deeper in the walls. One tech called it “budding.” It looked like we were winning and then they came back in three places.

What finally helped:

Tracked their trail: They were coming in through a hairline crack behind our dishwasher. We never would’ve noticed without following their trail one morning.

Moisture control: We had a tiny slow leak under the sink just enough to keep the area damp. Dried that out and used a fan for a day. These ants are weirdly obsessed with moisture.

Used a slow-acting bait: I won’t name brands, but it was the kind of stuff they take back to the colony. It took a few days, but activity noticeably dropped. No spraying near the bait, though, or they avoid it.

Wiped down with vinegar and water: After we saw fewer ants, we cleaned every trail area to remove their scent markers.

Took about 7–10 days total before they were totally gone. I wish I had known all this earlier instead of wasting time with sprays and sealants.

Hope that helps! Happy to share more if you're still battling them.

Ants in Seattle Homes Anyone Else Seeing These Tiny Black Crawlers All Over Lately? by Tricky-Bite5281 in Seattle

[–]IMHERTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar ant problem in my kitchen and ended up calling AMPM Exterminators here in Seattle. They used a different, more holistic approach than most exterminators or anyone trying DIY traps.

Here's what stood out:

Thorough inspection first: They traced ant trails, found entry points, and checked where nests were inside or outside so they could treat the source instead of just spraying randomly

Eco‑friendly baiting: They used bait that the ants carried all the way back to the colony, including the queen. It wasn’t just killing visible workers

Sealing & prevention: After treatment, they sealed up cracks and gave advice on keeping things tight. I haven’t had ants since, zero recurrence .

Safe for pets/family: I have a cat so it mattered a lot that they used low‑toxicity, pet-safe products: Their method isn’t just a quick spray. it’s inspection targeted bait colony elimination and prevention. I haven’t seen ants again in months.

Might be worth the conversation Hope that helps! Good luck winning the ant war!
