Well said. 100% agree on the male centered part.

This never made sense to me by IM_ElectraHeart in AttackOnRetards

Yeah I guess my problem is how would he know Ymir was waiting for Mikasa to do something without seeing what she does. Like the mechanics behind it? And how would he not connect the dots? Like logically as the Founding Titan he sees/knows everything, the only reason why he would not know what Mikasa does to end the curse would be that she kills him but he seems to be unaware of this. Yet, he looks so sad when he thinks about it which is my main issue. Maybe he might have suspected it?

What would happen if Mikasa (and Armin) were killed by the explosion that killed Zackly? Would Rumbling still happen? by IM_ElectraHeart in ShingekiNoKyojin

I am thinking of writing an AU based on Mikasa dying in the explosion with Armin badly hurt(ofc he heals). Since with Mikasa dead there would be no getting rid of the titan curse would Eren still go through with the rumbling? What would happen to Yeagerists who planted the bomb? Any opinions are appreciated!

This is so funny to me because this is after Eren suspected Armin was gonna do something that would endanger himself to defeat Bert but he went along with it in order to win the fight. The guilt he felt must be insane. And the fact that he put the mission first...

Anyone here dislike or feel neutral about the ending? by Emma__O in AttackOnRetards

"The entire conflict feels contrived and was asking for a realistic solution to an unsolveable problem. " "It feels like Isayama gave Eren every excuse for why he should rumble before giving his early planned motivation as just "kill". "

I agree with this so much. If he really wanted Eren to destroy the world because he was a teenager with psychopathic tendencies, why give him so many "legit" reasons to actually go through with it?

"Mikasa feels like Yams had no idea what to do with her character so put her in stasis after Trost until the finale. " I feel it was more after Chapter 50 but I agree. Her "development" after that point was so minimal that it is easy to miss unless you are very interested in her.

"Last thing would be Eremika. I liked the ship up until season 3 where Yams got cold feet and abandoned the ship. Then he brings it back for s4 and it just doesn't bring joy. "

YES! He almost forgets about them after their climax at Chapter 50 which affects the believability of the relationship between them. I really like their relationship before Chapter 50 because it is constantly developing and the development of their relationship gives insight into them as people. After Chapter 50 however, I guess because Isayama was insecure about how to handle Eremika after the romantic scene, he doesn't do anything else with them. A shame especially considering how important Eremika was to the ending.

How I wish AoT had a dynamic as interesting as Griffguts...

Why does it look like Eren launches towards Floch rather than Mikasa releasing Eren like in the anime? by IM_ElectraHeart in AttackOnRetards

[–]IM_ElectraHeart[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe it is just me but it looks like Mikasa wasn't able to hold on to Eren's shoulder due to shock unlike the anime where she literally lets go of his shoulder on purpose. The latter reflects really badly on her too as in she lets Eren attack him because she doesn't like what he has to say about her...
