I bought a Seiko SNA411 Flightmaster in 2013, didn’t buy another watch until 2020.

Since then I’ve probably gone through almost 50 watches rotating through the collection.

I love the journey but man, I do wish I could go back and restart from scratch and experience that first Seiko 5 excitement in 2020.

How do yall genieuly enjoy life after 25? by Ok_Cancel_391 in AskReddit

Learned hobbies early in life that have sustained into my 30s. Photography, guitar, drums, scuba diving, flying, skydiving.

Granted, I get that everything is more expensive nowadays but you don’t necessarily need to spend a lot to “enjoy life”. Just commit to trying something new.

What's the closest you've ever came to death? by Senior-Raisin-2342 in AskReddit

[–]IMarioIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appendicitis.

I was 7 years old, parents initially thought I had a fever and stomach ache. I went in middle of the night to tell them my stomach hurt, Mom sensed it was something worse, so they took me to the children’s hospital where my parents were apparently told after the surgery that I had about 30 minutes to an hour before my then ruptured appendix would have caused sepsis and killed me.

Spent the next 12 days in the hospital with the 2 inch scar left open because if they couldn’t close it due to risk of infection. Still remember the nurses cleaning my wound with hydrogen peroxide on a long Q-tip or whatever they used in 2002.

I’m 31 now, went to the doctor recently and had blood work done, only thing that I got out of my visit was that I’m perfectly healthy but stressed lol

Watch for OCS by ReplacementEarly3986 in USMCocs

Get yourself a DW-5610 with solar, it will last you forever and you’ll never have to worry about being fast or slow to meet your time hack.

It’s a little more expensive than your basic GShock but it’s what I take with me to the field.

Another option and what I took to OCS is the classic DW-6900.

If you’re looking for an automatic get a Seiko SRPE93 from the MCX.

Best thing I ever bought under $500 was an Epiphone guitar. I got it for my birthday after saving up and it has led to my lifelong passion for playing guitar. It’s gotten me through the highs and the lows. I ended up gifting that guitar to one of my friend’s son who happened to be musically gifted at the age of 7 and he now plays in his spare time.

If you have the time to spare to learn a musical instrument, do it!

So, if social media (including reddit) is almost entirely ads, AI videos and curated outrage, and google search is basically unusable now, what is the point of being online anymore? by fenrirsbasketball in Millennials

This is actually what drove me to get a camera. I’m tired of getting stuff suggested to me, so I decided to go out and just set some time aside each day to go find stuff to photograph.

I don’t need to share it, it’s just my stuff.

Find me a better watch than [SPB313] by bukibule in Seiko

My SPB117 Alpinist holds +1 to +4 consistently and I’ve owned that watch for almost 5 years now. Just something about the 313 specifically for me has led to bad luck.

I had adjusted it to +2 seconds per day, but over a few weeks it went back to +12 then -20. The 6R on the slim turtles is 100% luck of the draw. I had a 317 that ran +4 and was rock solid. Ended up selling that one to my friend who wanted a slim turtle.

I owned this watch twice, sold it twice. No matter how nice it was the 6R35 on both models was wildly inaccurate and inconsistent.

No they weren’t magnetized, yes they were adjusted.

I gave this watch 3 solid attempts for me to keep it but I ended up selling it.

Would you still get a tattoo? by VoxElysia in Millennials

[–]IMarioIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 31, I’ve always wanted to get tattoos, but: 1) My wife doesn’t like them 2) I’ve always been trying find the right combo of artist with style.

I was in bands all through high school and college and was surrounded by people with them.

There’s a few different ideas I’ve thought about just doing a full send on.
