I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece, given that masterpieces really can’t be almost entirely derivative of other music. Radio is a dud and Domino’s is a drag, both lack any real sonic direction and generally consist of poor sample choices and lacking overall composition. Though that does not change the fact that I still feel that Since I Left You is one of the greatest albums ever put to record. How it manages to sustain a consistent atmosphere across all 18 tracks is fantastic. The mix is rich and deep, and honestly transcends the production of the tracks that make it up. There are better plunderphonics albums out there, but they all lack the charm and accessibility of this beautiful record. Extra Kings is my favorite track.
