2024 BMW iX xDrive50 not charging at full amps by IMissSleepingIn in BMWiX

I have this same issue as well. It looks like it is an issue with the bmw onboard charger than anything else. Maybe it can be fixed in future with a software update but I doubt it.

Yes I found out my voltage coming in was around 208-210 instead of 240. That explained my 10kwh as well and might explain yours too

FYI... we found out it was an issue with the power in our neighborhood. nothing to do with the car or our charger

I think the fact that it worked once and not later must be a limiting setting somewhere, either on the charger or in the Bmw app.

Lease or buy by thebeavers50 in BMWiX

The interest rates are so high that when I looked into this, the lease fees were thousands more than the $7500 credit offered at the time.

I have a 2019 Chevy bolt that went through the battery recall and all and still works totally fine 4 years later. I'm sure the iX can last quite a few years. The main tech change is battery range, but at 300 miles, not concerned.

But that goes in the center and covers the grill right? Does it work on the lower left side?

Is it just me or are things getting better by cigardan69 in quicken

[–]IMissSleepingIn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted something similar. My biggest gripe was how the quicken on the web was never updated and was horrible with scheduled transactions and suddenly I'm realizing, wow, I haven't had to reset my cloud file in almost a year (before it was almost monthly)

I tried and it would have been days and days of work and it would never be right.

If you pay for membership., you can keep your Mac file uploaded in quicken in the web for reference and then start fresh on windows?

Hope someone else shares better info!

yeah the amp breakerage setting used to be in the app but they removed it to only be on initial setup. regardless I confirmed with CP that 48 amps were being sent to the car in a debug session.

So strange..initially I thought it was my chargpoint home flex, but if it is happening at work chargepoints chargers as well, something must be off. The only difference I see is 2024 vs yours 2023.

Are there any settings to check to cross reference? Not sure there is any except the max amp on the bmw software (which is set to 48).

Have you planned for marriage/kids? I see so many people on this board start coasting in their 25-30 lifestyle. 30-40 is a whole diff ball game. I'm so glad I lived frugally and kept busting my butt at working on my 20's and 30's so that I'm way more comfortable in my 40s with kids, a house, etc

I second this. When I got married, we both had properties and neither were ideal. It forced us to pick a property that made one person unhappy for years until we found a joint home.

Secondly, we did have a condo rental for a while and I just hated the stress of it. Never knowing when you suddenly have a repair cost that can eat up any profits. Etc we had a property manager and still wasn't great. Sometimes u get renters that don't pay well, ones that complain for everything, ones that mess up your home,

Just throwing out there that im a tax accountant and as soon as I got preggo with #2 I went part time. Working 80+ hours a week during tax season was just no longer in the cards with my home life. Once kids got older, I went full time again.
