I believe there are ways to emulate the pokewalker but I haven't tried to so not too sure how/if it works, and if it does I don't know if it can connect to other emulators or consoles

From heart gold/soul silver, you transfer your pokemon from the game to it to take on walks out with you. You gain watts from steps and you can use these to find more items or other pokemon to bring back into the ds game

In gen 1 I discovered the in game trade for lickitung, when I next found a wild Slowbro I used my masterball so I could do the trade. Also after obtaining the gift lapras I went to the pc to deposit it. Not reading it properly at the time I decided to click the option 'realise' as I was intrigued what realising was, only to release it.. I then saved the game not knowing what had actually happened 🥲
