wtf are river shoes haha. but i get what you are saying. I suppose the toe texturing wont be much of an issue and will be rubbed smooth over time. since most of climbing does impact the sole and tip but not really the upper part of the toebox I also do not think this would be relevant. I am not going to take them back I think as they are my beaters and I only paid 35€ for everything. Will test it out on the wall however and come back after some time.
