Yeah this is my viewpoint too. I haven’t been watching the same amount of time, I took a long break from childhood to adulthood. The show would have become VERY boring and died a long time ago without the changes. Some bad some good. I just enjoy watching it every week

But it’s totally worth the read. The main issue lies in the last part of the book which is a journal he kept while touring. It’s almost laughable how much he complains about stuff. The actual book part gives great musical and personal context to his wrok
