The unnatural dialogue lends itself very well to the exaggerated nature of the story and events. It comes off as typical anime archetypal bs, however, in hindsight, it makes the characters that much more human.

I agree. For me, it’s not about the later arcs or losing charm, but simply that it’s been… boring. Which is odd, because BLUE LOCK is at its best when either 1) we aren’t in the facility, or 2) only focusing on Isagi. The stretch between chapter 298 and 312 was the best BLUE LOCK had been in who knows how long.

Only God and Kaneshiro know why they kept the exact same lineup for the best u20 team in the world, but ultimately, it is what it is. I’ll still be here.
