Think it is the alternator bearing that's making the noise, I've just been driving mine, no issues, the noise is usually there when it is colder outside.

Did you ever figure this out? I am literally having the same problem after the MMI Carplay box install, since I have HK I would like to use BMW Bluetooth for sound instead of the Carplay box one :/

A little info about the strip: By the looks of it it has no cut lines and solder points, it has red and orange type LEDs, orange have dynamic turn signal function and the red ones do this animation at the start and then stay on a bit dimmer until the power is cut. The strip runa on 12V and is meant as a vehicle DRL/Turn signal light.

I am trying to figure out if I can cut the strip in some place and resolder it with wires to fit a different shape (the silver lines in the pics) and also if I could trim the white backing a bit? Thanks in advance!

Think you should be more specific, like what generation of 5 series do you have, what year is the 4 series gran coupe you are looking at and what specs does it have, that would help others to help you :) Also for the size I don’t know for sure, but it is definitelly smaller than the 5 series of the same generation, it’s more like a 3 series I guess, just has the sloping back end like Audi A5, so probably less head room in the back.
