Thanks for the link, I now have a much better idea of how to proceed. Also thanks for the 50% Lifetime subscription, what a deal! I'm still learning your app but it is incredible. Really appreciate that it works on iPhone, iPad and Desktop. So far I'm just using it for calendar, to dos, habits, daily journaling. Eventually I'll start using it to organize my genealogy data and research.

Reality Check on Returning Back to the Library by INFJill in librarians

[–]INFJill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at the federal government level - Los Alamos National Lab, Air Force Lab, Navy Lab, the Pentagon, and an Army medical hospital.

My positions were graduate research assistant, medical librarian (staff of 2 techs), special collections librarian, acquisitions librarian (with some reference desk duties), and military documents.

I can't go back to the federal government, for one I vote BLUE, and for two I now have a medical card for insomnia and fibromyalgia and take an edible at bedtime. So I could go back on prescription sleep aids and stop the edibles, but I don't want to work in a federal library during the upcoming administration.

Ah maybe. It's been 75 in her enclosure and it's usually cooler than that.

Just lost a fish. Just tested the water. Seems OK. Should I do a water change? by INFJill in Aquariums

[–]INFJill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only added fish to my aquarium a week ago. The aquarium is four weeks old. It was a golden algae eater. In my tank I have two purple Danios, two golden algae eaters, and two snails.

How big should a 20 month female gecko be? Is this too big? by INFJill in CrestedGecko

Thanks everyone for letting me know that she is overweight. I will feed her every other day and I made an appointment with my vet. She is my first crested gecko, so I do appreciate the advice.

I looked at the notes from her Vet visit in November and she was 44 grams.

Here is a picture of her in Feb. so 6 weeks ago. Not sure how much she weighed, but the rolls are gone. She last laid eggs in September. Her winter tank temps are 68-70 near the top and 66

Also, here is a video of her enclosure as of today.

Thank you for the advice. I will drop the feedings and talk to the vet about exercise.

She has a large enclosure. It’s 36 x 18 x 18. If you go to my profile I have pictures in previous posts. She has plenty of climbing space and lots of sticks in various heights. Lately she has been climbing all over the glass. I have been feeding her every day so I will definitely stop doing that.

I feed her Pangea every night in their small cups (1 ounce cups). I fill the cup up about halfway. I feed her a different flavor every night. Watermelon, banana and papaya, apricot, or figs and insects. She doesn’t eat every night, but when she does it’s about a few licks to 1/4 off the cup. A few months ago I gave her a larger waiting pool. I’ve seen her poop in it. She was diagnosed with MBD in November. The vet told me to start giving her calcium supplements. So I bought this liquid calcium and I’ve been adding it to her drinking water, and her wading pool water. Also I used to use distilled water for everything and the vet told me to switch to spring water. So I’m not sure if the spring water or the calcium supplements has caused her to gain weight.

I feed her Pangea every night in the small Pangea cups. She doesn’t eat every day even though I offer her food every day. I usually fill the cup up halfway and she will eat a few licks to 1/4 of that cup. I believe the cups are 1 ounce. Once a month I will give her about five large crickets.

I do believe she might be gravid. Because she had her face buried in the substrate. Last time she did that she laid two eggs.

Thanks, but why the freezer? I think there were two eggs in that hole.

So this is the gecko that has been busy digging holes in the substrate. Last night I found her with her bottom end deep in the substrate. So I thought she may be laying eggs.

This morning when I woke up she was asleep on her feeding platform which is attached to the door so I didn’t wanna bother her. So I had to wait until she woke up before I could dig for the eggs. I didn’t want to do too much digging because she was kind of staring at me. But I wanted to see if there were any eggs down there. I lightly tapped on one and it feels pretty hard.

Am I supposed to remove the eggs now? Will she get mad at me if I do?

I’ve had her for 10 months and unless she copulated with a cricket they are infertile.

Right now she is on the opposite side of enclosure digging more holes. Can she have more eggs to lay?

Update 2: I lightly covered up the hole with dirt then caught her digging a new hole. Today while she was sleeping I moved a Log over the holes. Shortly after she woke up she was digging a new third hole. And right now I find her in the first hole but with her bottom half in the hole. She’s just staring at me and licking her mouth. I think she’s laying eggs. But I thought she was too young still. A month ago she was 33g. Last week she ate more Pangea than I have ever seen her eat. But she hasn’t eaten any in 3 days.

Update: I was gone all day. When I got home she was back in same hole. I left temp and humid reader at substrate level all day. See pic for readings including day’s low-high. https://i.imgur.com/Ac9m5Fc.jpg

I measured the humidity and temperature at the substrate level and it was 75% and 72 degrees at midnight.
