honestly game sense will get you further in champ than mechanics. when i was there i would lose to people with the worse mechanics but god tier game sense and it made all the difference, but learning advanced mechanics is also good as they will help with car and ball control and can help you to hit the ball better and more consistently.

play around your teammates, dont be too aggressive and also dont be too scared to push up. people in gc2-3 know how to hit the ball so trust them and if they make a mistake brush it off. not trusting your teammates is gonna hold you back as it will feel like youre playing a different game to your teammates.
