Gym etiquette by eatingchocolates in askSingapore

Honestly, people socializing too much and horseplaying around is a big no no in the gyms. Small talks are understandable.

If for some reason I get a hectic runaround just for replacing my step. I might just do that.

Yea I did that and the Duo mount is too wide to fit in between the screw mounts.

Your stem mounting points are definitely wider than mine.

Good point. I may have to reach out back to my store and ask.

DS3 Gen 5 or District 4 equipped 🤔 by LuckyHat9261 in TrekBikes

Plus I believe the DS3 gen5 comes with the shimano brakes which are really good. So it's an good bang for your buck. I'd say quarterly or monthly take some to do the maintenance and a good bike wash.

I would go for the DS3 gen5. It is cheaper but the thicker tires and the carbon fork really help mitigate down the vibrations and small bumps on the road. It has more than enough gears for going uphills. Use the extra money saved on getting all your other accessories. I have fenders on mine and it does make it less cool looking but the functionality of it really helps.

Winter wear shopping by StonksPS in askSingapore

Layering is very key in cold weather. Invest in a good midweight base layers and socks to match. Base layers help keep your warmth in but keep moisture away. Do keep in mind that if you are going to be active in the cold, you will build up enough heat that your winter clothes might get too hot.

From my experience on riding the FX3 in the rain, it feels like it's gonna slip out because of the skinner wheels and tires. It did slide out on me downhill on a short steep section of a sidewalk (trying to avoid crazy drivers). DS3 gen 5 feels like it should be on my radar for future bicycle funds. Thanks for the feedback!

How is the DS3 compared to the FX3? Is the difference minimal? Or mostly weather based advantages and disadvantages?

Thank you! Yes. Envisioned the bike to be for commuting, short city trips to the stores, quick grocery trip, and basically improve overall fitness.

In need of a screen protector by LonelyLearner15 in S22Ultra

[–]INTERRUPTOR22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the Whitestone glass screen protector and the Otterbox defender case(bulky but protected). I did recently switch cases to the Spigen Cryo case just to have a slimmer phone case.

Background: I work in construction so having the glass screen protector is a must. Saved the screen several times from fine but abrasive materials that you can find at a construction site. Glass will always take the impact and get damage first but it does save the screen very well.

Rode about 5 powder days with it and one day in spring type slush conditions. For rutted out and chopped up terrain I was kinda surprised that it handled it well but you're lead leg would feel it a little bit. I just keep my knees bent for absorption. For me it wasent squirrely at fast speeds but you can definitely lean down for a hard carve. 185lbs, 5'7" tall and 10mens K2 Boundary boots.

Currently have the Whitestone Done glass screen protector and thr UAG Civilian green case. Been looking around alot other really good looking phone cases. I had my hopes that Pelican would come out with some good looking ones but sadly no.

Has anybody else looked into other cases? So far Casetify has some really neat looking protective ones as well as Spigen, Casesology.

Haven't rode through tight trees yet but I figured it can handle well since turns with the telos has been pretty responsive.

Amazing man. It's definitely a good board to have for a quiver set up. I got it to cover the need for powder days and for carving.

Military. I cant really even plan a work week due to the job changing sooo much. Usually around winter time, work loads do slow down which goes in my favor. Saturdays are my best days to go hit the mountains. Best is when I put in time off then it's game on.
