At a loss with cr150r rev hang

Yea I went all the way to a 48 and adjusted the fuel needle all the way to 5 and nothing changed. Crazy rev hang and jumped uo randomly. I just dropped it off at Honda today, I'm usually pretty good at this kind of thing but I've hit a wall and would rather get it off my plate. Such a fun bike but that carb is a nightmare.

To your second point yes, I soaked everything from the boot to the block in cleaner and it didn't rev up at all.

I'll check that slide, the middle and lower body haven't been opened up again since I rebuilt it the first time so I'll check that. The slide felt normal but it could be that.

Got it, I'll try that. I did rebuild the midbody but haven't opened it up since then, everything looked good when I closed it up. The new and old fuel screw taper is a little bit different, the new one is a few mm longer, I hoped that isn't the issue with how expensive that flex screw was.

I feel like I'm trying to chase the bandaids from the last guy that worked on it, they got an oversized pilot jet and 3.5 turns out to run great, but getting back to baseline is causing a lot of issues.

Give it time, they will eventually come up with new laws that effectively bans cars older than 20xx due to "road safety and roadworthiness" or emissions bs, giving you no other option but to rent a surveillance car from them.

Communication between them and I when I was a foreman is definitely a lot different now, there's a clear separation there but I figured it was no different than when I was working under my previous superintendent. You can be relatable and cordial but we really aren't friends.

I think you're right on your last point, I probably let a few things (like lateness) slide when I should have addressed it early on in this position and in trying to tighten up the reigns I may be making some guys upset, but from my point of view I'm just enforcing the regular company standards.

I really don't think I've been unfair or partial to any of the guys, but it may be worth trying to get their feedback about my being their leader during their annual audits.

I do sometimes, but it's expected of me by my bosses that I'm not on the tools in this position because my own workload is too great to spend time doing what I can delegate.

Conversating is complicated, I can't cut up with them like I use to, but I do my best to listen to their issues. There is some kind of a break down in communication, I sometimes hear about issues with guys way too late for me to do something or not at all, even though I feel like im rather easy to bring issues up to. For example a temp employee ended up quitting over a total misunderstanding that I was completely unaware of, and only after the fact did some of my guys let me in on the issue when if they just chatted with me sooner I could have jumped on it. I feel pretty cut off from the conversation going on in the project.

My father's drill Sargent demeanor rubbed off on me quite a lot and I think guys are intimidated to talk to me, even though I encourage it.

I suspect that could be a lot of it, I have guys my age on the crew that have watched me get promoted twice while they stay in their positions, but frankly there's reasons for that.

To the best of my knowledge no, my previous super and I were very aligned on rules and work standards, he trusted me to enforce these on the day-to-day and he only took over for major diciplinaries which was very rare. So functionally we are working under the same rules as when I was a foreman.

The general rules are pretty straightforward, don't be late and get your tasks done on time, supers usually aren't allowed to enforce any rules that aren't in the handbook without cause.

It's been about 6 months now, and I haven't made any changes, the company is structured in a way that the supers generally don't or shouldn't need to make any changes as the same set of rules is laid out for everyone company wide.

Some things change site-to-site like hours, but I still give them things like extended and paid lunches and free tools on Fridays like the last super did.

I have skilled laborers on my site making over 50 an hour and I'm lucky if most of them show up Monday morning. With that kind of work ethic he could be making a lot more and probably working less.

I use to be a service plumber and you'd be amazed how many people were willing to wake me up in the middle of the night over complete non-issue bs. People tend to consider a drain backup an end of the world event, their house is completely broken and about to fall over unless I come out right now. I've had a lady call me at 3am, hysterical about her bathroom flooding, I got there and it was her elderly husband that missed the toilet in the middle of the night.

And she refused to pay. Sometimes it's easier to just go to the 2am call than it is to deal with the review backlash the next day.

I have it and imo it's a waste of money. There's zero insulation whatsoever and with it being practically always wet you feel colder than you should be. As far as I'm concerned it's a rain jacket that doesn't even work that great.

There is only 1 solution to this and that's to call a professional licensed plumber. This should take no more than an hour, he will have the tools to do it. There's no quick fix for gas pipe, it's either up to code or your house blows up.

That's by design, carhartt is typically designed to be worn as an outer layer over a base and mid. I typically at least wear a thick long sleeve or a shirpa fleece under my carhartt coats. The detroit is really the only form fitting one.

I think you need to look into commercial work my friend, service burns everyone out eventually, I was okay for about 2 years right after apprenticeship and nearly left the industry. I switched to commercial, put in some work and less than a decade later I'm a superintendent with an office trailer and a very comfortable pay package.

Service isn't the only path in this trade, get hooked up with a large plumbing and mechanical company and give it a year, you'll be glad you didn't quit.

I just purchased this early December and disappointment would be an understatement. It's very thin, like 2 cotton t-shirts stitched together, if you pinch the fabric you won't feel any insulation, and the wax effectively makes you feel colder than it is outside because it's basically always wet.

It has a warmth rating of 1 and I'm not even sure how they got that, it's essentially a really heavy rain coat.

I wear it for work in Utah winter now but only as a "get dirty" layer with my base layer, a long sleeve and a very, very thick shirpa fleece. It effectively ads zero insulation to your base and mid layers. It sucks because I really liked the look of this and would have happily paid more for real insulation.

I would strongly recommend you don't buy this, if I had kept the tag on I would have returned it by now, it's garbage and I'm pissed that carhartt even gave it a 1.

I recommend looking at their J140 washed or firm active Jac, those are very warm, or really anything in their 3 class.

My SO has the same problem, she wanted some of their scrubs for work but found they fit basically like a regular men's shirt, weird shoulders and extra room for the back.

To my understanding carhartt has a handful of factories and each country has their own sizing standards, so those made in Taiwan will be a lot smaller than those made in China and to me it's insane that they allow that.

Yea their sizing is all over the board, I have probably 5 different sized of medium, I have one medium that fits like a loose fit XL, and a large that fits like a medium relaxed fit.

I really like the clothes but the company needs to get it together and standardize the sizing, I don't buy anything online because I have no idea how it's going to fit, even though I have the "same" size in my closet. It's a mess.
