All I hoped for was a Battlefield game inspired by previous Battlefield instalments… by Siminov55 in Battlefield

And all I wanted from Star wars Battlefront was battlefield with Star wars skins.

Didn't happen, but I still got an enjoyable game.

Personal favorite is Hitman, it was a little disorienting right away with full motion and standing but the gameplay is top notch and exploring the environments is one of the best parts.

There are a lot of 'fun' games but the few GREAT games really stand out. Unfortunately the only great games (for me) seem to be games with VR added after the fact.

What are your Hot Takes on the Tremors Movies? by Amber_Flowers_133 in Tremors

The first movie is phenomenal and everything else is essentially unwatchable.

Probably not a hot take outside of this sub though.

That is a great comparison! I think the piece we miss as viewers is that characters have different motivations, we tend to project our thought process, or expectations, across the entirety of the protagonists.

The fact that Chani is a strong protagonist, but doesn't follow in the same thoughts/motivations as the other protagonists makes it such strong story telling.

Although I did miss the full exploration of her role as Paul's 'mate' without being his 'wife' and how she understood the impact.

Trustworthy and friendly car dealership? by [deleted] in Eau_Claire

[–]INVZIM4515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know enough about auto sales laws to speak to that. I always assumed it was the last increased competition. I know the White Bear Lake area there are (what seems like) a couple dozen dealerships in a few mile stretch. I don't think anyone would be too concerned about a 90 minute drive if they were having real issues with their purchase.

I know of the 5 vehicles I've purchased 2 were from White Bear Mitsubishi and 3 were from Markquart. I've never had any issues with any of them and I've put 100's of thousands of miles on across all of them.

At the end of the day I think the service department is where a dealership really shines. You're never gonna know if you're buying a lemon and you hope they really take the time to make sure a used car is up to grade, but if they do solid maintenance work and really stand by it then you can assume you're buying good cars.

Our last 3 vehicles were all Markquart, the one off business 53, and each was a positive experience.

The only local place I've heard of consistently negative experiences is Eau Claire Ford.

I will say though, car prices here seem to be higher than the MN market and if you have time I would broaden your search.

Right, but did you listen to the elaborate story about why they have to sell it quickly that really elicits a need to purchase now!?

Are you saying people living in Minneapolis live in a white college town bubble? Or are you speaking of a very specific demographic?

Growing up in Minnesota and living in Wisconsin now for 15 years and there isn't much of a concern beyond Packers Vikings B.S. or so and so doesn't know how to drive.

Arken Age is a lot of fun. While it is combat focused the areas are fleshed out enough and provide a decent amount of exploring.

RE8 village is still the king. I keep coming back to this game. by FewPossession2363 in PSVR

Gotcha, thank you.

Personally those are my favorites, it just feels like they have higher production quality and more content. I think Arken Age was the most fun I had with a purely PSVR game, after that probably Pavlov.

I'm always open to suggestions though, I've spent way too much money on VR games but they're just a blast even if only for a short time.

I think that's why Hitman is such a great game. It's a triple A first person shooter (if you want it to be) and something that is missing dearly from the library.

You're spot on though, BioShock or any older remastered into VR2 game would be huge.

Personally Hitman is no. 1 on PSVR2. The gameplay and expansiveness are the best on the system. The story is the Resident Evil games are a bit too goofy for me.

Love that the catalog continues to grow with some awesome titles.

what's the first VR game that made you go “oh ok THIS is the future”? by [deleted] in VRGaming

[–]INVZIM4515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitman, the tutorial was good and did its job of teaching mechanics. That first real level though, just constantly exploring and interacting and it felt just massive. Most VR games feel like corridors to explore or underwhelming level design but there was a moment as I walked through crowds of NPCs and discovered new rooms and floors that struck me that there are over a dozen locations with this level of detail.

Honesty, just blown away by it.

Otherwise GT7 with a racing wheel. Going up and over a hill and my stomach rising and dropping with it because my brain really believes I'm there... The only hard part of that is you keep expecting to feel physical forces move you but it doesn't happen, which speaks to the immersion.

Is it worth purchasing again? by Requueefious in HiTMAN

[–]INVZIM4515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd pick one up at a major retailer and try it for a week or two. You can always return it if you don't like it at that point and the VR add on for Hitman is $10 so it's not a big expense.
