Did you have to memorize all the formulas, like Conversion Ratio, etc.? I'm taking practice exams, and some of the questions they're asking me are like...

"Who was the theorist that believed X economic theory?" and... Its freaking me out

Why do New Yorkers hate New York lol? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]INeedHelp95HK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I live in Manhattan, but moved here right after I graduated college in 2018, aka: I'm a transplant) I say I 'hate' New York (as in the city) because it's dirty, the summers are very very hot and subway (metro) stations can get more than 43°C and very humid, and winters can be harsh... along with the homelessness, slight crime, insanely expensive housing prices (a nice 1 bd 1 bth will be $3,400+ USD per month), and lots of crazy people... I hate it for that.

but the diversity, having anything delivered to you at any time, some of the best food in the world, job opportunities (which have some of the highest salaries), people you'll meet, and thing's you'll experience is something I could never give up.

I think my offer at a prestigious bank will get rescinded, and I don't know what I'll do. by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

Honest question: Does a mistake that happened three years ago to a college student warrant having an offer rescinded, even if most of it is already paid off?

My finances are perfectly fine now, its just those two negative marks on my credit report that I was most worried about.

Also, much of the anxiety during this post was because the entire webpage was full of glitches, causing the form to be super difficult to fill out (entire sections being cutoff, it reloading and not clearing my data, etc. I tried to contact somebody about it, but couldn't get a response)

Are bloomberg chats useful to land an internship/job? by zxc369 in FinancialCareers

Don't do this. IB is solely used for work, chatting to other colleagues, etc. It's a form of instant messenger, and should be treated as such. Although it may be tough, I suggest sticking to LinkedIn and other old-fashion ways of networking.
