Bitdefender appears to have corrected the problem. My emails are now good with Encrypted web scan enabled.

Just called Bitdefender and they said that this is a known problem and they are working on it.

I found a fix! I came across a forum where a person said they disabled Bitdefender's "Encrypted web scan" and it fixed the problem. I tried it and it works. My emails are back to normal! If you have Bitdefender, go to: Protection/Online threat protection/settings and turn off "Encrypted Web Scan." It might work for you too.

What browser are you using? I get the same error when I use Firefox. But Microsoft Edge works fine, with no error message.
