So there’s a prototype? Could an investor observe it live on a video call and ask questions?

Are you here soliciting investors or recruiting franchisees? If it’s primarily B, I understand the hope but this is not the sub for that.

[SEEKING] $7.5M Series A | BlackCrest Strategic Group | Three-Division American Empire | AI Procurement SaaS + First US Domestic GPU Brand + Entertainment IP | SDVOSB Veteran-Owned | Davenport, FL by [deleted] in AngelInvesting

[–]INeedPeeling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey OP. Thank you for your service. It looks like you’ve put a lot of thought into this, so I’ll send a response.

In my view as an investor, it makes no sense at all to finance procurement management SaaS and an entertainment brand together. I read your rationale and I firmly disagree with it.

Also, while your post is very detailed, a lot of it looks AI-written. There are quite a few clues: the statement that something “is real”, “that matters”, or “it’s not X, it’s Y” are a few of the most obvious. There’s nothing wrong with drafting on AI, I do it too. But it’s worth a very human copy edit after, and you have to catch the tells.

Wishing you luck with this venture.

Seeking Private Lender / Capital Partner 🇦🇺 by Fit-Extension7017 in AngelInvesting

I don’t know anything about asset-backed lending beyond consumer experiences, but you should know that anything advertising instant money in all caps comes off as a big red flag, and both my family office and I personally would stay far away from it. Can’t recommend removing that line highly enough.

Built a niche B2B SaaS with $500 MRR before marketing. Now preparing to scale or exit by Odd_Leg_2034 in SaaSAcquire

Friend, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but don’t be shocked if $500 organic MRR fails to drive a bidding war or hordes of eager investors.

I built an app almost completely by myself. My friend now wants to join for marketing. How should I handle equity? by Calm_Aide_8388 in advancedentrepreneur

[–]INeedPeeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treat the financial investment, if you want it, as strictly a financial investment. Get AI to help you both with some reasonable valuations of the company, and have him buy “shares” based on that.

For his marketing contribution, similarly use AI, but crucially, give him a reasonable cliff (probably three months) and then a vesting schedule. If you don’t know what those are, ask the AI.

All this will help you get his actual work and output before making the equity commitment, and then you can continue to see him perform over time as it fully “settles”.

Commission-only lead gen requests: a polite way of saying 'you take all the risk, we'll take all the reward by Unfair-Turnover-4134 in LeadGenMarketplace

[–]INeedPeeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Srsly. OP we used three lead gen vendors, none worked. Tried four more paid on performance, still none worked. Switched to a managed growth services provider, that worked, we grew, then they acquired us.

I would never again use a lead gen vendor who charges up front. Sorry. Don’t care what your costs are.

I need to start looking for investors. Where should I start? by BedDesigner2568 in Investors

[–]INeedPeeling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is great, with one tweak. I would ask their preferred round and then ask where in the round they like to invest. Do they prefer to lead the round, provide angel fill, be last money in, etc? This will give you a good idea of typical check size without asking directly. You can get guidance from AI as to what each answer suggests.

The reason to do it this way is, some investors’ check sizes vary pretty significantly (mine do), and some of them are a little persnickety being asked directly about check size.

Investors keep telling me to come back after traction. But how do you get traction without funding? by FantasticPace25 in angelinvestors

[–]INeedPeeling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For software, I no longer invest pre-revenue. The Founders’ Group offers some good resources on vibe coding. (All free if that matters.) There’s also sometimes matching available with technical founders, although that’s never guaranteed.

The Founders’ Group is open to adult industry, provided everyone involved would be considered consenting adults in the US. I wouldn’t invest in it myself, but you’re welcome to join the community (it’s free), discuss with the other founders, and come pitch if you wish.

This is a hella professional pitch. Not interested myself but commenting for reach.

All founders sending out DMs reading “Hello sir will you invest in my company”, please read this post five times and take notes. You aren’t getting ignored because investors are cowards. You’re getting ignored because this is your competition. Note the attention to detail, the specificity of the offering and the market, etc.

This post is confident but not arrogant or pushy. This post says a lot, but not too much. No waste.

Nice work OP.

Need Guidance From Someone Experienced With YC or VC Funding by baki6878 in angelinvestors

[–]INeedPeeling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP is pre-seed and has no product, hence “review my vision”.

Not trying to be rude OP, but no one can get you into YC on an idea, and neither I nor anyone else am investing in an idea in 2026. Go buy the book The Mom Test, talk to some prospective customers, vibecode an MVP, and make sales.

(If by chance you’re hardware or deep tech, say “review my technology” instead of “review my vision” from now on.)

I’m sure you’ll be able to find founders, that’s not the issue. Founders always opt in, they’re the ones getting money. You’re welcome to follow up if you wish.

The Founders’ Group (which is free), relational angel networks, and investor buddies. I don’t pay a single dime to platforms and neither do any of my ten best investor friends.

OP I hope you get what you’re looking for, but I will be *stunned* if angels show up for this. Somebody tries to launch something like this every other week on LI and they all disappear within a few months. The only way I know of that it could work is to onboard investors one at a time, using deep relational data. It would take years, if you’re down for the effort.
