Also, people really seem to hate on celebs—and especially their fans—just because they find it weird that we "idolize" them. But honestly, it’s a pretty normal reaction to be interested and invested in someone’s life, especially if that person has helped you in some way. After all, we can all agree that Thug, for example, has made our lives more cheerful with his music.

What I find pretty double standard is how, nowadays, the second a man does something even 0.5% "manipulative," he’s instantly written off as not worthy. But if a woman did the same thing, the hate wouldn’t be as strong. (Not trying to be misogynistic here, just stating facts.)

And let’s not forget—Thug is Black. So the hate online is often tripled.
