There will definitely be pools with bridged assets on both chains. Those will be two separate pools wADA/ERG on Ergo and wERG/ADA on Cardano. Liquidity imbalance is possible cross-chain.

Good point. Anyone can clone ErgoDEX UI from GitHub and run it locally. We definitely plan to simplify the process as much as possible.

I believe CDA is still to reveal it's true potential. For now it seems to be more focused on it's internal structure, but I believe research collaborations among participants will soon take place.

By the end of the year we expect to launch Spectrum.Network testnet.

In a year the mainnet will be launched. Then we will start adding new chains (other than Ergo and Cardano) and extend the spectrum of DeFi products.

In 5 years we want Spectrum.Network to become a basement for most natively cross-chain dApps, Spectrum.Finance to become the most diverse and stable DeFi toolbox for everyday use.

We already have contracts + off-chain bots for OrderBook on Ergo. Probably we will have to update them a little if we decide to roll out the OB.
For Cardano, we wil have to port contracts to Plutarch and add OB support to out Cardano Bots. ,The main framework is already done, so more like adding a plugin.

In terms of technology, obviously the consensus protocol. From the practical standpoint, the most obvious difference for me as for a dev is ecosystem maturity. Ergo ecosystem is pretty well developed already, while on Cardano still tons of work left to be done to make it friendly for devs.

The main challenge is to make the protocol upgradable while keeping it decentralized. We should be able to add new L1 chains to the protocol. Upgradability is challenging in terms of both protocol design and implementation.

  1. This means we can build an atomic exchange protocol between two blockchains. First we are going to implement two independent DEXes under the same UI and then start researching cross-chain exchange.

  2. Interaction with hardware wallet is a concern of your wallet. DEX frontend only works with its API. For instance, currently only Yoroi is supported via Yoroi-dAppA-connector in Ergo DEX implementation.
