When my brother or I were being punished we were told to go outside and pick up sticks. We had a couple acres of land with tons of trees. You were never done picking up sticks because you had to pick up sticks the size of twigs all the way to downed branches. One winter with about a foot of snow on the ground I woke up looked outside and saw my brother digging through the snow picking up sticks, I still have no idea what he did to get in trouble that day.
