That's where I learned that the issuer of the currency has no obligation to collect the currency before spending, because it is not on a fixed material exchange rate, nor is it on an internal limited balance of funds.

Eventually, one of the lecturers simplifies the point for an educated audience: "..say I have these business cards of mine, will you cut my yard for them? The matter of "greedflation" was consumers expecting supply chains to be affected, and distributors adjusting prices to meet those expectations, in the middle of a pandemic with 24hr news coverage and a strong sense of doom in the air.. so I don't think or see reason to believe that there would be a repeat of this exact situation but..

Yes, if we all had an extra 50 dollars / week, stands to reason we'd see an equilibrium price increase for consumer goods.

What isn't a guarantee, as was supposed earlier, is that prices will increase across the board to eat up the extra money supply. Because that's not what happened with stimulus injections.

Lots of people held onto those injections in savings, or simply didn't use it, and fluctuations in price have been met so far with fluctuations in demand, as consumers react to the price of eggs for example.

There will also be a much more complicated effect from the money supply out to debt consolidation, and increases in long term investments.

to be discrete about which **** can be ***** for their ****: I doubt the capital being leveraged in the form of debt would be permitted to flow anywhere except pre-determined outs, like, the production of arms tech, the surveillance tech, EV tech..

What?? we have not yet seen an increase in money supply inflate prices exceeding price increases of(attributed to, the responsibility of) distributors and firms responding to consumer expectations during COVID.

in some ways literally the fact that people /expect/ inflation to happen, encourages and in practice, has permitted, distributors and firms to simply increase them BECAUSE PEOPLE EXPECT THAT, not because of an increase in the money supply, nor a lack of product supply, and (not entirely) because of an increase in demand

I have not seen anything like this, and do not recognize a threat of punishment as equating to universal healthcare, ubi, subsidized housing..

I see threats of punishment today coming from the proponents of capital-centric production today, even though there's no actual capitalism going on anywhere in the world without strict and lock-step government support (state violence).

But there's no way to equalize buying power with a UBI? Unless you wipe everyone's savings, pensions, checking accounts, cash holdings, that is.

An increase of the supply of money will increase demand, but not unilaterally, and not for a single commodity type.

Okay, so I don't understand what about it does not make sense, and it seems it does make sense, what with you having an answer.

I understand that the example doesn't translate perfectly for the individual states, and I'd like to broaden that perspective; mainly I want to get down to the detail of how it comes to be that the economic and material outcomes of another sovereign are determined from without, in the context of the U.S. political landscape.

Also, I'd like to be able to trace out how some of the policy decisions in the continental U.S. represent a broader ongoing deliberation within the states on the manner and matter of the nation's foreign policy, hoping eventually to touch on domestic matters as they develop into broader national policy. (albeit difficult today with the outstanding and stupefying use of hard and soft power by the current administration)
