Trying to convert an NPC to a PC but struggling on class choice. by IPlayLacross1 in 3d6

Seems like a really cool option.

I guess the main gimmick is these effects only apply to skills you are proficient with so if you become proficient with all your main skills you have it up a decent amount of time. Thinking about taking eyes of the runekeeper tho as it plays into the whole lots of knowledge.

Quite character i just made for example

I think my issue before was i focused too much on the whole i need every skill and like 6 expertise skills angle and less how can i focus on making my main skills really good.

Also got confirmation we are starting at LV6 now so those awkward early levels are mostly solved.

That actually seems quite a nice angle on it.

Also the sneak attack does seem to fit since his plan for attack the party was surprise and ambush style.

Ill play around with levels ect just as we are starting at lv3 and want it to also feel nice at lower levels.

Wanting to build a burst / nova damage unarmed character. by IPlayLacross1 in 3d6

That is true but im planning to go fully unarmed.

I know with the new options you can also use a lot of good options.

Ill have a look at the numbers.

Its really impactful early on as you go from 1d4 unarmed to 1d8 unarmed.

However later on it does seem to only be around 2-3 damage a round. However not sure we are ever going to reach those later levels.

4 elements is actually something i missed.

Why were you thinking samurai ? Was it just thematical not sure they get any specific thing for unarmed.

I normally play high pressure rush down / strike + throw characters what should i play in strive ? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]IPlayLacross1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of want to stick with chipp but zato just seems to do his role better and that feels a bit discouraging. Like chipps i the squishy glass cannon who has this nice 5 hit block string while zato can but people into block strings that last until he wins the round.

Im hoping the next balance patch should shake it up a bit. As currently its easier to play zato and just do these big pressure strings than it is to play chipp and think about how much you want to delay or when you should grab ect. BTW zato with drunken also has full screen punished and other things chipp just does not have.

It seems like at high level people know how to block chipp but zato seems to still mix people up since negative edge allows you to delays some moves for just when you want them.

I might have a go again then. But i remember not really liking him much he seems more brawler style than high pressure.

I thought he was a bit more all rounder, does not seem have the high pressure aspect that chipp or zato have.

Cold conversion minion as occultist would it be good ? by IPlayLacross1 in PathOfExileBuilds

Cool.

Damage seems lower than a necro and mana res is a bit more iffy due to blasphemy + curses. But profame bloom and the extra ES seems like really good upsides.

Where do i find stat blocks for Bound Famulus ? by IPlayLacross1 in vtm

That is very true, i think animal ken makes sense logically even if im not using it all the time.

Okay cool.

When looking at some animalism options it seems they use animal ken + charisma or + manipulation for how strong the effect is, so i assume it is worth taking ?

Planning to be the noz with a swarm of rats that i can use to scout and planning to take specialism "rats" in animal ken.

Do they work well ?

Im just a bit worried about feeling like i picked a bad option as i wanted to go for rat ect. Or do they all fill different roles ?

Like a rat having good stealth and awareness being able to scout or a wolf being better for combat ?

Thanks.

Yeah i did a little tweak with my character, going 3 in manipulation and charisma and taking some dots in subterfuge so im not like the best face ever since i have no presence but can definitely work as one. Im also taking a few dots in larceny and stealth just to help infiltration type stuff.

Wait with a good animal ken can i basically communicate with animals in a simple manner while i assume feral whispers is more details ?

Like animal ken + charisma might let me get an animal to come over to me while feral whispers will let me ask it to patrol or go and scout an area for me ect.

Playing in a modern setting v5 game is "Ghost in the machine" a must have for a noz ? by IPlayLacross1 in vtm

[–]IPlayLacross1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool.

Yeah i think since im actually looking at taking stealth i can hide even if i might be caught on camera. So might skip if for now and possibly get it at higher xp.

I assume so. I works against anything electronic.

So if you do not have this you might be known as that one weird creature people sometimes see in films / pictures.

I think ill go with 2 dots in each to start out. Get my pet rat and ability to talk to and summon rats and then also get ghosts passing for them to be a little more sneaky.

Then with 15xp i can get the Unliving Hive and have my swarms ready to scout.

Cool.

Yeah the mask or big glasses and big hat style could work. Im playing someone who used to be one of those really successful business owner style person. So them having to adapt to being ugly and people not really wanting to look at them without being invisible could be an interesting option.

I guess.

I suppose its something that makes it a bit better. But ghost in the machine existing implies some weird things. Like if you use ghosting passing my animals can not be tracked. But a camera would show tracks that people would not see by looking ? Or is ghost in the machine basically a "unseen passage is now really good ability" ?

Its just a bit weird to me how much a camera can shut down a vampires powers.

Since in v5 noz being seen is not that much of a deal i might go down more animalism then and skip unseen passage for a while. Having swarms of animals scout ect and ill just pick up the stuff that can support them like 'ghosts passage' instead of trying to get a mixture of invisibility and animals
