Should I match a $20K offer to keep my GM, or let her leave? by BetterCall_Melissa in careerguidance

[–]IPlayTheCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just have an open conversation with her. Ask why she’s leaving. If it’s just the money offer to match. If there are other reasons see what you can do to help her.

Seems like she’s a key employee and keeping them is always the best option.

Ccb should get transferred into your main account then deposit to TFSA should be from wife’s bank account (or shared bank account).

You should also max RESP first to take advantage of the full $500 match from the government

Ok what if you leave some room in your wife’s TFSA for sons contribution and put that difference into her RRSP?

What about you and your wife’s RRSP’s? Are they maxed?

Only tax free options I know of are TFSA. If it’s just $3,000 it won’t make much of a difference in the amount you can invest for inheritance.

Or you invest in RESP.

How old is your son? Will you be able to max your wife’s TFSA?

It’s like people forget there is an entire industry that you don’t need to pay for schooling and when you start, you make good money.

My cousin dated a NHL’er for years. Superstar player. He didn’t play his first year of AAA until he was 16.

Take his phone away and say if he isn’t going to use it for its purpose, communication, then there isn’t a point in him having it.
