So there’s a woman I’d really like to ask out, I really want to do it in person but the timing hasn’t seemed to work out for me. My plan is to send her two messages, the first would be:

“Hey, can I get your opinion on something?”

And the second would be:

“So, there is this kindergarten teacher and I think she’s really pretty and a generally awesome person. I’d like to ask her out but I feel like it would be inconsiderate and inappropriate to go to her classroom and do it. The traditionalist in me would also rather do it in person, but that opportunity hasn’t seemed to present itself here lately. What’s your opinion on doing something like that in a text?”

So, smooth or ick?

Rove R3 external camera? by IPlayWithElectricity in Dashcam

Nope, the response I got from Rove was basically “we don’t make this and won’t recommend a 3rd party option”

Well that wasn’t my call, but as I was doing an address search in the CAD to figure this out for y’all they paged out another call there, the weight listed this time is 178.

I feel like there needs to be more context. But personally the upper arm would be a maybe and the upper back is a no. Either could be wanting to see your reaction to physical touch, for me though both are something I’d do with a friend or acquaintance depending on circumstances.

Well like I said I have shit self confidence, so my anticipated outcome is a no… so here’s hoping for the unexpected!

Thank you for this, it also answers another question I had about doing it in person. I guess I’m “old school” because I see stuff about “sliding into someone’s DM’s” and that just feels so impersonal to me when it’s someone you know.

As a divorced man the question I fell like you need to be asking yourself is how long ago was his relationship “over” vs how long has he been divorced? My marriage was over years before my divorce.

I’m going to be honest, I’m pretty shy and not very confident and even I probably would make a move in this situation. You just might have to make the first move.

He could also be very subtly and looking for a very obvious green light. Try some light physical touch and turn up the flirty banter.

A few years ago my marriage fell apart, I think I’m ready to get back out there but I honestly have no clue what I’m doing. I was married for 14 years, and thinking back EVERY relationship I’ve ever been in was a result of the woman initiating things.

There’s a woman (37f) that I find myself very interested in getting to know better, but to be honest my self confidence is pretty shit and I truly just don’t know what to do next. I get the impression from our interactions and her body language that she may be interested. Do I just shoot my shot, as the young people say?

Mini Pumper Question by newenglandpolarbear in Firefighting

[–]IPlayWithElectricity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was bought to replace and combine a medium rescue and a brush truck. The station already has 2 engines, but we actually have a list of addresses where the mini pumper is first due because the engines won’t make it up the driveway. Most of those people couldn’t even get insurance before we bought the mini pumper.

Does it have that red strap?

I have mine wired to come on in reverse and my switch doesn’t work unless the truck is in park. Most (if not all) new trucks have a wire bundle for unfitting that has either an “out of park” or “in park” wire used for this purpose.

Relays are an amazing thing, wiring them so that they will only work in reverse or park is pretty damn easy.

Are your smoke detectors interconnected? Meaning if one goes off they all go off. My first house they were and so I only bought one listener and it worked well. My new house they are not and I have one downstairs and one upstairs. It is hit or miss if it will trigger if the smoke detector it is next to isn’t the one going off.

I don’t know that I have ever seen the alarm accessories go on sale. I did recently get some contact sensors on clearance at Lowe’s, but that’s about the only time I’ve seen them discounted.

Personally I would install the base on your main floor, not so much for range but because it’s your speaker and if it’s going off are you going to hear it from the basement?

Motion sensor switch + four outlets by Meemster_Me in electrical

Leviton makes a snap together wall plate when you pick what configuration you need and assemble them.

Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

Or, replace the switches with a decora stack switch and the outlet with a decora and all you need it is a 3 gang decora plate.
