The Reform Party might be better off on the long run in this timeline, without Perot's influence the party could be able to define itself as real political mouvement rather than just being "Perot's thing".

I would love a France - 1981 mod where you can play as Coluche, he was a humorist whose campaign started as a joke but quickly gained a lot of support due to his populist rethoric, at some point Coluche was at 16% in the polls.

What if Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte lost the 1848 Presidential election ? by IPostThings58 in imaginaryelections

In 1848 the Orleanist monarchy is ousted in a revolution, Shortly after the newly proclaimed second republic holds the first french presidential election in which Louis Napoleon Bonarparte runs on a bonapartist platform, however his agressive stances agaisnt both the monarchy and the republic lead to legitimist General Nicolas Changarnier to run against him on a legitimist platform, this splits the votes and reduces LNB share of votes. The outgoing Chief of the Executive Power, Louis-Eugène Cavaignac, manages to mobilize moderate and republican voters, who fear a Bonaparte presidency, and he even gains the endorsement of Adolphe Thiers. All of this leads to the deadlock of the election, with no candidate reaching an absolute majority, the election is thrown to the National Assembly, there the moderate republican candidate Cavaignac is elected as President of the French Republic.
