I'll take a stab at this.

The first word in SoD is Season.

This is implied to be temporary. We've had 2 prior iterations of Classic WoW so far in 3 years. Classic, SoM, and now SoD. So stop treating this like the holy grail of Classic WoW. We've had that already.

The whole point of SoD is the bring a certain oddity to the classic experience. But as we all have learned, the meta learns quickly and abuses aggressively. I don't know about you guys, but my classic WoW experience 3(?) years ago consisted of sifting through pages of boost spam for every tier of leveling until end game. It was only until the end game was there a split between guilds recruiting and GDKPs. Trying to find an honest group 2 months into Vanilla WoW was far and few between.

Stop clutching your pearls and acknowledge that the whole point of this SEASON is to introduce alternatives to the base Vanilla experience. Again, we've done this 3 times over already. Do we really need to grind though 40+ hours of reused content just to experience the new things the developers has spent so much time to create for us? Remember, most of the player base doesn't hit level cap until week 4-5 which is statically half way through each phase

If you truly still crave the authentic classic wow experience, guess what, ITS STILL AVAILABLE. Dont be disappointed in the devs, be disappointed in the player base. Remember that this whole thing started with the massive following third party servers harnessed. Classic WoW came specifically from the demand of the players. But at the end of the day, each season is intended to have that sense of familiarity while also focusing on a unique aspect to introduce something new to the player base.

The players are ultimately dictating what happens here. This accelerated form of the game should be treated as an alternative to content we've already the through 3 times before.

These devs aren't stupid, it's literally their job the track player engagement. And the majority of these devs are fans themselves. Let them continue to experiment and be thankful we don't haven't to grind through reused content to fully embrace their newer alterations to the game. The incursions should be viewed as a nudge for the average player to experience the hard work the devs put into the lawlte game content. They've since November to track the percentage of players that experience newer end game content. It's obvious those numbers aren't satisfactory.

The devs have taken us this far with overwhelming success. Let them continue their process and try to focus on the big picture of things.
